Ward Christmas Party

Last nightw as the ward christmas party. It was a ton of fun. Since we are now on the activites committee we get to participate a lot more then we used to. I ended up having to MC the program portion. I was a little nervous but it ended up being easy as pie. I love th is time of year and all the activites that go along with it. This is the first time that Ellie has seen Santa this year and she did amazing. I taught her to tell santa that she wanted a "KICKEN" (kitchen) Which I hope she gets. wink wink

Darrington Christmas Party at Tim and Jana's

I just love this time of year cause we get to do alot of things as a family. This particular event is one of my favorites cause Aunt Jana has always got something spiritual up her sleeves. And I just think it's important to have that aspect of christmas all through out the season. Well this year the theme was "The greatest story ever told" It was a slide show put together by Aunt Jana and her kids. It was beautiful. It had pictures of all of our kids (great neices and nephews, neices and nephews) doing somthing pertaining to christmas along with tons of pictures of mary and joseph and baby jesus. I couldn't help but being teary eyed appreciating everything that christmas has brought into our lives. It was awesome and I'm looking forward to our copy!

Along with giving that presentation Jill and Steven read a story to the kids. I loved to story and thought that it had a great message. And I beleive Ellie did to cause she moved right in front of them reading the story and tried to repeat every last word that they said on each page. Everyone got to giggling at her that i dont' know if they really paid that much attention to the story. I think that I'm going to have quite the ham on my hands. But we sure do love her!

Layne's New Hobby!

Last year Layne had a great time Geese Hunting with Jody Osterhout so he's decided that he needs to start doing it more often. Well for christmas Kelly bought Layne a few Geese decoys so now he doesn't have one reason to not got goose hunting. So he has this "DUCK CALL" ???? that he has been practicing using for his adventure. Don't worry I get to laughing so hard every time that he does it I can hardly keep control. But I'm excited for him to have something to do during the winter. And isn't he just cute!

Rock Creek Lights

Last friday I decided it was time to get down to buisness and finish christmas shopping. So we decided to make a night of it and head to Twin to see the Rock Creek lights. They were awesome! It was quick and painless with lots to see. Exspecially the famous "CAMEL" I don't really know if you would consider his anything else but "HUGE AND HAIRY"! Layne loved him and had a hard time leaving him. For the last week he has been trying to figure out how we can get a camel. He loved him that much. He was just awesome. I don't think that Ellie really appreciated him but it was a great time. SHE LOVES THE LIGHTS. and I love hearing her say "OH PETTY MOM" and "COOT" aka cute. She is just at such a fun age I can never stop getting a kick out of the things that she says or does. And we finished christmas other then one gift for my sister. So it was a GREAT night!

Layne Hard at Work!

I have been wanting to post some pictures of Layne and work and he was finally close enough to home that I could run over and get a few pictures of him workin! He is such a great husband to work hard and take care of Ellie and I. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful Daddy. I just hope that he knows how greatful we are for him and his sacrifices for us on his behalf. WE LOVE YOU DADDY!

Annual Denton Darrington Christmas Party

Every year towards the beginning of December Denton holds a Christmas Party. And trust me it is no ordinary Christmas party. Denton provides all the "gifts" and everyone gets to at least take 5 gifts home. It is so funny to watch the kids pick and choose the things that they want. Denton brings home as many souvenirs that he can get his hands on during the year at his meetings and through his travels and gives them away at the end of each year for Christmas. Everyone gets at least one bag and a bunch of stuff to fill it. This is the first time that Ellie seemed interested at all and I think she got away with a few treasures, like her beaded necklaces. Thanks Denton for always a great time.

Food Storage

A few weeks ago I went to winco and realized I was completely out of shelf space in my kitchen. So I talked oh so kindly to my dear sweet husband and he built me some shelves. I figured since I had them I might as well clean out the pantry type thing we have and see how much food I really have stuffed in there. I was so proud of myself that I had as much food as I did. Once I cleaned it all out I realized I had more then I thought I did and just needed to add a little bit to get a real storage going. Anyways I had to put a picture up of those amazing shelves that my sweet husband made for me. And don't worry now that I know he can build things I have a few more projects instore for him. THANK YOU DARLIN!

Caught in the Act

I was trying to find Ellie a diaper and "jama's" and this is what I found. I was lucky enough to have the camera right by me so I could catch these photo's. But I thought it was so funny her naky bum on her princess stool that she pushed up to the couter to eat "MY" candy! I don't know what it is lately about her doing silly things naked, right out of the tub! She is getting so much fun. Layne and I just giggle at her all the time. It's getting to the point where I think we would be okay if we add to our little family! Maybe, Someday?

City of Rocks

Yesterday we were heading up to get our Christmas tree up past the city of rocks so I was taking advantage of the scenery and practicing with my new camera. I LOVE IT. The camera was suppose to be for Christmas but I went and got it on Black Friday and have been playing with it ever since. I love this years Christmas I have already got and used my Christmas presents.
