Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve we usually head over to Val and Teresa's and have something yummy to eat and play games. This year we had prime ribs and crab... Let's just say it was so yummy we are going to make it a tradition. Then afterwards we opened presents and as usual we all got spoiled. We are pretty lucky to have such a good family. Ellie got art stuff and braclets which she loved and Jayci got a horsey she wasn't quite sure about. For some reason my kids are a little shy when it comes to doing something out of the ordinary. She was okay with it till it moved then she was done. I got perfume and a purse from Erica. Cloths and Money from Teresa. Layne got lot's of tools and a Let's Ride sweatshirt and Tshirt that he probably won't let me wash till it's FILTHY because he LOVES to smell it. He also got money from his parents. It was a wonderful night filled with food and family! Including Uncle Roy!

The girls get Christmas PJs every year. I just wrapped then in the same box because Jayci wasn't really into it so I let Ellie open it and wouldn't you know it Jayci had to get right in the middle of it and crawl right over the top of it. I loved their pj's this year. Ellie's said "I'm not Sheepy" and Jayci's said "Cookies make me Happy!"

Jayci in all her glory and might I add she is walking. So when you think about it please pray for my sanity because I'm going to be in BIG TROUBLE when she finally figures it out FULL TIME!

Nielsen Christmas Party

As usual the girls made a haul at the Christmas party and enjoyed the company of the Nielsen Family. It was a rather enjoyable evening and we feel pretty blessed to have such a good family.

On Friday the 17th of December was Layne's cousin Matt's wedding and reception in twin so we decided to make it a family night. We took the girls to do a little Christmas shopping and then out to dinner. After that we went to the wedding reception and then out to see the camel. Ellie was not sure of the camel at first when I asked her to turn around with her back to the camel so I could get a picture she turned to look at me and then turned to the camel and said DO NOT EAT MY HAIR. After a little bit she was okay with everything and fed him a few as in 5 carrorts and we went on our merry little way. As we came across Santa she saw him about 10 yards away and ran up to him yelling, "Santa, SANTA..." She got her candy cane and a squeeze from Santa and was on her way again. As we finished and got to the top of the hill ready to go she stuck out her lip and asked if we could go around again... of course we went again and had a ball. Jayci loved it just as much as her sister. She never made a peep but was all about gawking. Over all it was an amazing adventure and a fantastic memory!

The Beast Restraining Herself....

Now that Jayci thinks she is 100% independent she can get into her walker all by herself. Which cracks me up because when she crawls up and into her walker she puts herself in backwards and can't get out and really can't walk all that well. It is deffinately made to go forward and backwards not backwards and sideways. AND DOES SHE EVER GET MAD when she can't get herself out. I'm pretty sure she is 100% BEASTLY! (And by "Beastly" I mean pretty darn cute in her own special way. And it is her nickname and I love it when people ask me how the "BEAST" is....No offense by the name it has just stuck.)

Little People Nativity

I have been wanting the Little People Nativity FOREVER. And this year finally decided I was going to break down and buy it until I looked it up on the internet and realized how much it was going to be. So I called my mom since she has been asking what she can buy us and I asked her about the Little People Nativity. She was happy to know something to get for the family and sure enough about a week later it showed up on our door step. Ellie and I have enjoyed playing with it on a daily basis since we have gotten it. She loves to tell the story of Jesus and listen to the music it plays over and over.

Oh I just love these two...

Yes this is the beast and her teeth. We just love every ounce of this child.

Her favorite thing to do is drive things around like cars and tractors along with throwing balls at everyone. Lately she is into parking her walker into the tree. The tree has seen more love then in any years past. She deffinately makes my life interesting.

Imagination

As Layne and I were crawling in bed last night he walked around to his side of the bed and this is what he saw. I laughed so hard because it is just something Ellie would do. She makes me laugh often. I asked her this morning why she did it and eventually she told me it was because she wanted to see if we would think it was her asleep on the floor by us. Pretty creative if I do say so myself!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

I love Christmas lights. I love to sit in the dark at night when the girls are all in bed and just meditate. There is nothing more relaxing then Christmas lights and night. I just love the holiday season and am so grateful for the birth of the Savior. And enjoying the spirit of the season!

Helping... If that is what you want to call it

Ellie has been given the lovely chores of unloading the silverware and helping me pick up the house before we turn on the TV or do anything fun for the day. Well, we usually do it when Jayci is taking her nap in the morning because this is what happens. It takes 4x's as long and I have to sit and take pictures because she is cracking me up. I sure love my girls and am grateful for their night and day personality's.

Jayci LOVES her Daddy!

A while back I thought I was pregnant. (I can say this now because I KNOW I'm not) But as I was laying on the couch with some viral thing that I had been fighting for days. Layne says to me I'm kind of excited if you are. I said "WHAT! are you really saying this to me." (Jayci would have been 18 months at the time of delivery) He said I have just enjoyed Jayci so much. She has been so much fun. I just LAUGHED OUT LOUD.... I said you have not been home with her everyday all day. Mind you she is fun but completely MESSY! He has loved her to pieces and she is the first one that gives any loves from him when he gets home. Only because she is on zoom right to the door and beats us all to him. They are absolutely cute to watch and I love knowing that my girls have him for a Dad forever and ever. A few nights ago we were discussing what baby #3 will be if he/she ever comes and he says. I hope it's a girl because I know my girls will love me forever. He's a pretty proud Dad. And I thank my Heavenly Father everyday that he sent him to me!

Lately Ellie has started calling Jayci "Beastly" and it's kinda stuck. She is quite the animated little thing and we love her to pieces.

Denton's Annual "treasure" Party

Ellie LOVES Maylee and wishes they could play and be together all the time. Ellie has asked daily for Maylee to come and play so we are patiently waiting for Christmas break to get here so Ellie can have her over.

Ellis is patiently waiting for her turn to get a treasure. I found this year that we only got a few things and I didnt' have to throw as much away. Ellie loved all her goodies and had a great time. Although this year she was really sad Santa did not come!
