Ooohhh Ellie....

Tonight we were all sitting around the dinner table and I told Ellie "you need to eat your dinner!" So she preceeds to go one for 3 mintures like this (whole conversating with herself) :

"Mom my boogers say no. They say Ellie why don't you eat your boogers. Ellie says because Dad say they are disgusting. But I think they are delicious. Then my boogers say Oh Ellie.... Dad you think boogers are disgusting huh?!" Dad says, "Yes Ellie they are disgusting and can make you sick." Ellie " well I still think they are declious!"

Can you tell we have been trying to break the eating booger habit. It is really disgusting but it cracks me up how much she loves them and her DAD HATES IT... which it is gross but is kinda funny when he FREAKS and it doesn't faze her one bit. Someday she'll figure it out but I just about died trying to hold in my gut rolling laugh when she started talking in 3rd person about her boogers!

Sunday Afternoon Nap

Jayci has been fussy for a few days now and I just layed her in her crib for her afternoon nap. I let her fuss for awhile and then Layne went and checked on her and this is what he found. Her chubby little legs could get through but could not get back out. It was so cute. I love those little chubbies!!!

Crane Family Reunion

1st Annual Darrington Campout

A few months ago Emy and Verla thought it would be fun if we started a annual campout. Of course there was going to be people that couldn't come because of harvest but for the most part we had a good group that went and had an awesome time. The campers the whole time were Our Family, Val and Teresa and Family, Ryn and Kerri and Family, Mark and Verla, Fred and Emy and kids, and Leslie and Brant and kids. We had a great time. I love going camping and seeing people not in their element. The kids had a blast and it was nice having someone for Ellie to play with the whole time. Of course Jayci is still pretty little and had a hard time the first night. Layne actually ended up taking her home because she was not wanting to go to sleep and was miserable. What a good sport Layne was to take her and let me stay up there with Ellie. I'm one lucky girl with a great husband beautiful girls and a loving extended family. Rylee and Jayci had a good time and played pretty hard together. The second night there most of the family drove up for the evening and we played a few games and had dutch oven. I had so much fun and am looking forward to it next year!

8 Months

Where or where has the time gone? My baby girl isn't so much baby anymore as she is the hairy beast also known as Jayci. She is making a run at trying to destroy my house one step at a time. In the last two weeks she learned how to roll all over the place, walk or should I say RUN in her walker, and just yesterday she pulled herself up to her toy that is above her head. Just this morning she was laying on her back and sat straight up. I cannot believe the little advancments that happen everyday. She is still in love with her sister and admires everything she does. She is going to be my quiet TERROR! Ellie was fussy and never wanted to move and Jayci is quiet and on the go all the time. I cannot believe the difference between them. Night and Day those two! Marcine Bowlden Weeks

While we were gone I got a call from Layne on thursday night. He said Krissy I have some bad news and this is what has just gone on. He said well Uncle Fred and Wayne Hurst just found Marcine Dead in her bed. At first I was in shock and then I was sad and then I was excited for her. I'm so glad I was at home with my Mom so we could talk about it with unbiased opinions. Mom just let me talk and vent and tell fun stories that I remember of Marcine and her funny little quirks. Well, I knew I had to get home and face the fact that she was gone. On the drive home I was so thankful that the girls behaved and gave me time to think. I had a few break downs but I know that she is alot happier now. I had plenty of time to laugh alot about stories of her and conversations we had. When I got home I had to take a shower and be into the viewing with in the hour. The viewing gave me plenty of time to see her one last time and let her know how much I loved and appreciated her and everything she has done for me and my family. When I gave Roy a hug he thanked me for being a big part of her life and letting her watch Ellie. He said she always looked forward to those days when Ellie would come and play with her. And Ellie sure loved those days too. Ellie LOVED Marcine. Ellie did really good at the funeral until her Dad and Uncle lost it when they put their flowers on her casket! She cried and cried and wanted Marcine. Sometimes it's hard to explain to a 3 1/2 year old about life after death but I know she knows that she'll get to see Marcine again. As we were driving away she cried and with a said voice she said "By Marcine I love you I'll see you on the other side." It broke my heart but we all know she is in a better place.

Marcine, I love you and I'm sorry I didn't show it more often. Please know you'll always be in our hearts and we'll look forward to seeing you on the other side. When Brad gets back from his mission and we go camping. I'll make sure to throw his damn stick into the fire just for you! Love you!

Some More....

10 Days to Orofino

On July 19th I headed to Orofino. I stayed the night with Jessica and Matt in Boise and then finished up the drive on tuesday morning to Orofino. My Mom had surgery to get rid of her Thyroid Cancer on the 19th so I headed up there to spend time and take care of her. While we were there we got to spend alot of time with my niece Ava. I have no idea how Mother's have their children 18 months apart because Ellie and her were at eachother throats 80% of the time. They enjoyed eachother but competed the whole time over everything. Ellie is kinda honary any way and having someone to compete with her only intensified to the extreme. Since it was EXTREMELY HOT (103 degrees) there we went to the beach (river) everyday. It was fabulous and the girls had a ball. Ellie is a fish anyway so there was no stopping her from swimming everywhere. On friday my brother in law took Ellie with him to spend the weekend between him and my sister amanda and then she went with uncle booger (jacob) till sunday afternoon. It was so quiet at Mom's we got so much stuff done. I cleaned the carpets that hadn't been done in over 10 years and we got to watch movies and just hang out. I loved it and loved being able to help my mom out. I love my family so much and was so glad I had the week to spend with them.

I couldn't find Layne or Ellie and sure enough they were out in the sandbox making sand castles. He is such a good Daddy and sure loves spending time with his girls.

After a while we heard that a heard of cattle was coming through so we went out to watch them go buy. Ellie thought they were pretty cool!

Family Home Evening at Steadman's

Every year the Darrington's and Friends always plan a Family Home Evening at steadman's. Which is a huge water slide down a hill. Every year since Ellie was born we have always gone and she has hated it. She would go down once or twice and sit the rest of the time and watch. Well this year my baby girl finally grew up and went down at least 100 times. She would go down and climb back up the hill to go again. I loved that she has finally stepped out of her shell and gained a little confidence. I cannot believe how much she has grown up in the last few months. Before I know it she is going to be four and Jayci is going to be 1. I won't have two babies but two little girls. I sure do love them.

Drew and Jenna's Reception

Right in the middle of Declo Days Drew and Jenna got married friday the day before and then saturday night they had their reception. I cannot tell you how excited we are to have Jenna in the family. She is such a sweet girl and we all love her. Ellie loves to play with her and she is so easy to talk to. During the reception we hung out for quite awhile. Maylee is Drew's neice and one of Ellie's favorite people. But I think one of Maylee's favorite people is Jayci. She played and played with her most the night. Which Jayci didn't mind cause someone was loving on her. Layne took a liking to Ragen's little boy and fed him all his food and Kree fed Layne all of his cotton candy. He is the cutest little boy. We don't get to see him very often but when we do we sure take advantage of him. And I love the picture of Ellie and Becca. They are quite the duo. Where ever Becca is Ellie seems to find her and get her picture taken with her. Oh how we love having family our age and our kid's age. We sure love all of them.

Who would of thought Ellie could get Blake out there to dance but apparently she was pretty persuasive. Gotta love that girl when there is music on and dancing to be done.

Then she moved on to the bride and groom. Look how cute they all are!

Declo Day's Party in the Park

In the park after the parade they always have fun things for the kids to do like a jump house, races, dunk booth, cotton candy, and catch gold fish. It's always a good time and usually they have vendors selling stuff and have a YUMMY lunch. This year they hired in a Hypnotist and Layne, Val, Kelly, and Uncle Jim got up to participate. It was hilarious. I didn't know my husband had it in him to sleep most the entire time until they talked about icecream and he was up and all about it. Such a fun day.

At the parade we ran into a few friends. Some of which have a baby girl that is 7 days younger then Jayci. And if you can't tell by this picture of them. Jayci has her by about 4 lbs. She is quite the little chub but these baby girls are pretty dang cute. I hope that someday they will be able to move back and they will be good friends at school. Just like their Daddies. And then of course there is my baby "cheerleader in waiting".

Declo Day's Parade
