Deja and Jayci

A few weeks ago we got invited to Deja's Baby blessing. Her Dad is one of Layne's very best friends from high school. When ever I hear stories of things that happend in school Chase is mentioned in every 4 out of 5 stories. So it was fun for us to have babies close together. We are hoping that eventually they move back to Declo so our girls can go to school together. Anyways I wanted to get a picture of Deja and Jayci together for memories sake. Who knows maybe someday they will be best friends. Anyways Deja and Jayci are exactly 7 days apart. I know Deja was early when she was born and Jayci was right on time. They were both so small...But Jayci is really kicking it into gear with weighing almost 10 lbs and Deja is only 7 and a half lbs. But really look how cute they are together. It will be so fun to watch them grow up together. Thanks for inviting us to your baby blessing, it was very special and we were glad to share it with you.

Rubba Dub Dub My babies in the Tub

I love how Jayci never takes her eyes off of Ellie when ever she is around.

I cannot believe that I can already but Jayci in the tub with Ellie. I think I remember Ellie being three months old before I put her in the big girl tub. I guess it's just getting eaiser to bathe them at the same time. Jayci looks so tiny in the tub but Ellie sure LOVE(s) to have her in the tub with her. They were pretty cute yesterday and Jayci actually CRIED when I took her out. So Fun.... I don't think that Ellie realized how much fun a sister could be until lately. I'm glad I've NEVER had to fight the jealousy thing with her. I've only had to fight her on her not sharing Jayci with other people when they want to hold her and things like that... She wants her all to herself. Which to me is a way better fight then her not wanting her around. I love my two cute girls in the tub.

Ellie's "Boy Friend"

EVERY morning and I am not exaggerating when I say EVERY morning Ellie wakes up and asks if her boyfriend can come over. She will either say boyfriend or Pete. Which ever one comes flying out first. I have to either tell her "I'll call Kenna later" or "in a minute" by the time I think about getting around to it she is over it and has moved on till after lunch. I don't think he will ever know how much he is talked about at our house. Ellie insists that they are going to get married so they can "DANCE"... I don't know why she associates marriage with dancing but according to her that is why you get married. Anyways we love Pete at our house and ex specially love it when we get to spend time with him.

On Friday Kenna and I decided it was time to try and venture out with our kids again. On the way to Twin I thought it was going to be a long day because Ellie and Rigdon were fighting and yelling at each other more of the time. As we were pulling off the exit We heard Ellie and Rigdon talking about being best friends and when we looked back at them this is what we saw. I quickly pulled out my camera and caught them in the act. Kenna and I laughed as she said this is only going to last till we get to the bridge. But wouldn't you know it they held hands the whole way to Artic Circle. It was so cute and I just love how they have such a LOVE/HATE relationship. Every time they see each other whether it's been an hour or three days they always run into each other arms and give each other a hug. Ellie always says "I missed you so much Pete"... So cute. Most the time Kenna and I talk about the future and all the WHAT IF's...............(there really could be so many: dating and marriage WOW)

We ended up having a great time and the day was a complete success. No major breakdowns and we actually had a good time. Today at church we even discussed going again!

Daddy's Girls

January 19

The girls must of had a long day because they both snuggled up with their daddy and fell asleep. When I went to go get them off to take them to bed. They were all three soakin wet with sweat. All three of their bodies run I swear at least 1 degree hotter then normal. They are all furnaces and are all hot all the time. So the combination of the three of them led to one soaked Dad and two little girls.

This is one of Layne's favorite things in the whole world, when his girls or just even one of them snuggle up with him and fall asleep.. I love Moments like this.... My girls LOVE their daddy!

Jayci's Space

Jayci loves laying on the floor with no one bugging her. But with a big sister that is never going to happen. If I lay her on the floor with in minutes Ellie is right there in her space poking and proding her. Most of the time Jayci doesn't care and actually LOVES to watch what her sister is doing. When ever Ellie is by her, her eyes never leave Ellie she follows her until she moves out of focus. I love watching them interact. Ellie is a good big sister and loves to help whenever it has anything to do with Jayci whether it is bathing her or putting her binki in. My favorite is when Ellie and I are doing something different and Jayci starts crying Ellie makes a run for Jayci and yells "super helperrrr to the rescue." It makes me giggle everytime!

Curly Hair Do's

You wouldn't know it but Jayci has SUPER curly hair. When it's wet there are tons of curls everywhere. The curls go away when she starts rubbing her head in her carseat and in the blankets. I hope that the curls stay, and I'll have a curly and dark hair'd, blue eyed baby girl...

Smiling

Jayci is almost two months old and has very stubborn on smiling at anyone. Just recently in the last week has been smiling and cooing up a storm. She LOVES the mornings and when she first gets up she is all smiles and just wants to be held and chat with her Mom. I love our time in the mornings before anyone else gets up and she is being a happy baby girl...... So this is her a few mornings ago when I caught her talking and smiling up a storm!

TWIN "SISERS"

I was so excited to find out that I was having a girl the second time around because I wanted to dress them in the same outfits just like my Mom did with me and my older sister. I loved looking at pictures of us growing up and we were always dressed alike. When anyone would buy us cloths or make us dresses they were the exact same but different colors. I of course always got any other color but pink or purple which is what my sister always got. Mine was always blue or yellow (always a boy color ). I don't know why that is but I vowed that my girls would be the SAME! I don't know if that will "always" happen but for now... They are so far apart that I'm lucky enought to find the exact outfits. So when I found this I was soooo excited because I loved them and knew that they would look cute in them. Ellie thought it was so fun to be dressed the same as her sister. All day she kept saying "Mom were twin sisers huh?!" it was pretty cute. LOVE THESE GIRLS!

Always Scoring Points

The first part of January Layne got me these beautiful roses... I love when he walks into the house carrying roses for me. I know that when he does it means that he was having loving thoughts about me. This particular day he gave me a hug and told me he loved me and appreciated everything that I did for him and his daughters. I'm pretty lucky to be married to my best friend and couldn't of picked a better husband for me.

Jayci Lillian Darrington's Speical Day

On the third of January while my family was down visiting we had Jayci's Baby Blessing. I'm just going to fair warn everyone that I didn't get any pictures... Yep you heard correctly I did not snap ONE picture today. I feel so bad for Jayci, when your told that you take more pictures of your first one then you ever do of your second or third. I think I have to agree. Can you believe it??? I'm still kicking myself. The rush of the day from beginning to end kept me hoping with no time for just ONE picture... AAAHHHHH Anyways it was a beautiful day. I love hearing Layne give the blessings and make sure that he gets the name right. I'm so grateful to have a worthy husband whom is worthy to bless my beautiful babies. It is really hard when it's time to do things like this because I don't have one immediate person in my family other then my husband whom is worthy to stand in the circle. So it was just Layne's Grandpa Nielsen, his Dad, and Brother Kelly and Layne or course. Brad was their in spirit but is on his mission and feels bad that he missed out. It was a small circle but was full of love. I love our family. We are so lucky to be apart of big families and know that we are very loved. I was able to bear my testimony that day too. I don't think that I have bore it since Ellie was blessed so it has been awhile. I am so lucky to know that I have an Eternal family and can be with them FOREVER!!!!

Bringing in the New Year

Typically Layne and I head to Northern Idaho for after Christmas fun and New Years but this year my family came down to stay with us. Since it's only been a month since Jayci was born we decided that staying home was the best idea. Plus trying to travel that far in our little car was going to be a joke. (Now I know why everyone needs bigger cars) So my family came on Wednesday the 30th and we had a great time of doing absolutely NOTHING.... Mom, Kayla, and Micheal came on Wed. Jessica was already here. and Jacob got here on New Years Eve night with his girlfriend Mandy. I love having my family here Layne loves them to but get's VERY closter phobic. My mom always says when people come over his BUBBLE gets bigger and bigger every time. Anyway and New years we just ate snack foods and played the Wii. Watched the Ball Drop and headed off to bed.

I'm excited about this new year. Already we have had many great things happen and are looking forward to many more to come. I love what the new years entails. Making a list of things I want to accomplish. I'm not into making new years resolutions because 90% of the time they are so far fetched that it's hard to commit. My biggest thing this year is reading the Book of Mormon and understanding it. Since Brad has left on his mission I promised him that is something that I would do. I cannot wait to get started. I'm cleaning out the basement then hitting the books. Plus I've got a few pounds to loose and Layne is taking me on a cruise. It's our five year anniversary this year and since we haven't done anything for it since we were married besides an occasional dinner I figured a cruise would be AMAZING!!! So here's to a thinner and brighter new year!
