Merry Christmas from our Family to Yours! I can think of no better way to start the Christmas season then celebrating the birth of my angel and the birth of our Savior!

Happy Birthday Jayci!

Dear Jayci,

Happy birthday! Today has been a really long day of travel! We went to Grandma and Grandpa Hough's for Thanksgiving and it just happened to be towards the end of the month so it ended up being on your birthday. I don't know if I really like the idea of traveling on your birthday but what I did love is spending the whole day with your sisters and Dad. They may have drove me crazy 80% of the time but we made it and had a few good laughs!

I love being able to start the beginning of the Christmas season celebrating your day of birth. I wonder if Heavenly Father knew that was going to be in the plan. I hated the thought of having your birthday in November because I hated the birth stone and I already get to celebrates Ellie's that month. So when they wanted me to be started the first of December I couldn't of been more excited. Now I have A LOT more reasons to love it. And Mainly it brings a whole level of spirit with it that just warms my soul. You should of seen the light in your sisters eyes when she saw that buddy the elf had made it on your birthday. The tears that welled up in her eyes just gave me goosebumps because she instantly felt the spirit of Christmas. 

I pray you know of our love for you! You are thought of and loved twenty/four seven. I can't help but always be thinking of you because as your Aunt Jess said it best Your spirit x's twelve is living in your baby sister. I believe it to be true. I love that she is so much like you, but different enough that it doesn't hurt as bad. It makes me appreciate all that she is  whether it's loud, yelling all the time or her soft, sweet kisses that we get 24/7.

Jayci, I love you! I miss you! I ache for you! But mainly I cannot wait to be together again. As I know we will be someday. But for now I am rolling with the punches, Dancing in the rain, and embracing the life that I live. Some days are hard and some are really good! Thanks for sending us little reminders that only we will know to be from you!

And She should of been 4

Tomorrow is this angels birthday! I cannot believe she would of been four! This has been a particular hard time for me because we have missed many firsts like preschool and ballet! And mainly because Laney is weeks away from passing her in age! It just doesn't seem right! I feel bad that we will be traveling on her birthday but it will give me a day to reflect on her life and all the things she's taught me! Not to mention i get to be with my family! I appreciate those friends that still acknowledge her and are always willing to let me talk about her! They will never know the simple things they give or say that mean everything to me! Jayci, happy birthday! Your mommy loves you! Jump over the moon and have a ball! Know my heart is with you today!

Pumpkin Carving

Oh heaven help me

Does this look familiar? Well it's my very loving 1 year old who give us this look when she doesn't get what she wants or were doing things she doesn't like. WOW. So again I say. HEAVEN HELP ME!

Pumpkin patch 2013

 After the bridal shower I got a call from Layne and said he was all done with HARVEST!!!
I was so excited. I told him we were headed to the pumpkin patch and would love for him to go with us. So he was able to go and we had a great family night at the pumpkin patch. I love taking my girls and letting them pick out the perfect one. We always get one for every member of the family including Jayci. She always gets a white one because she is an angel. I'm pretty lucky to be a part of this cute family of mine!

Bridal shower

 We are so excited to have a new sister in law. She is an amazing girl and comes from a great family.
We sure love her and can't wait to get to know her better. Erica, Amanda, Teresa, and I threw a bridal shower for her and had a great turn out. We are truly blessed to live in a community where everyone is so supportive.

These are my awesome inlaws. I love this picture of us. We are missing Kassie but when we add her in pictures it looks hilarious because she is blonde and sticks out like a sore thumb.

She's growing up to fast

Next week I am going to have a 7 year old. I cannot believe it. She is truly my saving grace.
I love this little girl more than she will ever know. Every time I think about all that she has been threw in her 7 years of life it breaks my heart! She is a grown up in a little body! Sometimes I wonder what she thinks about and how her insides are dealing with all that she has been through. I am sometimes am afraid that she is forgetting about her sister and then she brings home pictures of her and things that she thinks about. I pray that someday we'll be able to know and help her but until then she is the sweetest, loving girl I know. There are no excuses for her sassy attitude other then she is her mothers daughter but because she is my daughter she has my sensitive loving heart that loves everyone and forgives easy. She's a peacemaker and hates seeing others hurt. I love her more and more everyday. Ellie I am so proud of the young lady you are becoming. You have made me SOOO PROUD!

Walking in her footsteps

It's hard to believe the baby that used to walk in these shoes is no longer here on earth with me. And my baby here is going to fill them! I don't really know how this is going to work... The emotions run high as my sweet baby is soon to pass my angel Jayci in age from her time on earth! The differences/likeness between them blows my mind! What Jayci did, Laney does worse! The way Jayci glared at you, Laney glares the same but longer! The cuddler Jayci wasn't, Laney makes up for! I love my girls so much, it's just crazy to me how much time is moving on! Today I'm thankful for all that I have. For the blessings my daughters are to me here and in heaven! Smiling through the tears, making it day by day!

The place of heartache and peace

I was getting ready to leave Kari's house for the evening and could not believe the sunset.
It made my night but also tore at my heart strings. It's one of the places on this earth that gives me peace and hope and also breaks my heart into a MILLION bits. I miss my angel so much. It's amazing to me how much I ache for her but am so grateful for my other girls. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for our family but I am looking forward to being reunited with my entire family! Heaven will be where I am whole! ETERNITY IS MY FAVORITE PLACE TO BE!
