Always the Unexpected!

Today I was standing in line to get my pictures at Walmart and Ellie decides to up and puke all over herself and every where around us! People even left the area cause I'm sure they couldn't handle the smell! It's to the point now where it's not just baby puke, but actual, human puke that stinks and makes me gag something awful bad!!! So, a nice older lady helped me out and went to the bathroom and got me some paper towels, all the while some other lady was getting the janitor! IT WAS LOVELY! Oh, the adventures that happen at stinkin WALMART!

Oh, What do I do?

05/26/08
This has become a new habit of my "OH SO SWEET" child to wake up in the middle of the night and just scream bloody murder until I pick her up! She has the need of wanting to sleep with me but I CAN"T STAND IT! So I've been laying her on the floor with me laying next to her and she is out in 30 seconds. How do I get her to STAY IN BED! Help!

Memorial Day!

05/26/08
I really enjoyed this memorial day! Although it was REALLY windy outside and kinda rainy. I enjoyed visiting the cemetaries and pondering over thoughts of loved ones that have past on before us. This particular year we had a loss in the family and even though I never met her and never got a chance to see her. I took her death pretty hard. She was only 22 days old and left some pretty amazing life lessons for all of us to learn! I often think of her and her perfect life that she is living with her Father in Heaven. Abree deffinately has a special angel looking down on her from up above!

I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR! WHEN MY LILACS COME ON THE TREE AND MAKE EVERYTHING SMELL SO GOOD!
Just couldn't pass it up! Ellie just insisted on standing there and wouldn't move!
This is my Uncle "TINY" Roberts grave and I just think of him often! I really miss him and even though it's been almost four years since he passed away! I still drive into my granny's drive way hoping that he will be there. He had a laugh that would be anyone laughing. And I always enjoyed to watch him eat cause the man could PACK down the food! I LOVE YOU UNCLE ROBERT!
Ellie was getting a little wind blown out in Rupert so we decided to call it a day!

Graduation Day

05/21/08
Today was Graduation Day for Bradley Leroy! Overall it was a good day and I couldn't be more excited for the kid! Of course it was hard to follow what was going on at grad because I so happen to have this 18 month old that is a busy body and hates to sit and be quite! Just a few pictures to sum up the day! CONGRATULATIONS!

Brad and Whitlee walking!

The serious little graduate! Were so proud of him!

All the kids! Kelly, Brad, Ellie, Layne, Me, Erica (14) and last but not least in the front Amanda(11)!

Uncle "HI HI HI" and Little miss Ellie June Darrington!

I can never get them to cooperate in pictures!

Awards Banquet

05/19/08
Tonight was my first ever awards banquet. I actually usually get really emotional when it comes to talking about volleyball and my girls. But I think that I did pretty well. I just want them to know that I'm proud of each of them and looking forward to next year an seeing what it brings. Melissa, GET READY!!!!

Seminary Graduation!

05/18/08
(I have not been real excited about catching my blog up on the last week because it's been an emotional one for me and here's why!!!)

Today was Bradley LeRoy Darrington's Seminary Graduation. This starts off a very long an emotional week for me. I guess I should put in a little background about my once upon a time little punk, 14 year old, brother in law. When I first came into this family I feel as though Braddy made it his personal mission to torture me. I wanted to kill him sometimes and truly lashed out at him just as I would to my own brother. But over the next year or so he grew up and finally got to the point where I could stand him.

Well on November 11, 2006 Braddy's life took a big turn. He was in an accident and lost 4 out of the 5 of his fingers on his right hand. After 17 hours of grulling surgery he had his fingers put back on and was on a long hard road to recovery. That all happend exactly one day and one week after Ellie was born. But, ever since that accident Brad has grown from a pesky little punk to an amazing person that I love very much. Not only me but Layne and little Ellie too. Brad is her "HI HI HI" and she just loves him.

This week is opening a new chapter for Brad he is graduating and eventually leaving to school. But I don't think that I can send him off with out telling me how much that he means to me. I love him as much as I do my own brother and I'm so proud of the man that he is becoming. I don't know what I"m going to do for two years when he eventually leaves on his mission but, i do know one thing. We will make sure that he knows that he is loved!

I put these pictures up because I didn't get any at seminary grad. But just thought I would just show how much he loves his niece and would do anything in the world for her.

WE LOVE YOU UNCLE BRADDY!!!!

Water Party!

05/19/08
Thank goodness for friends with kids! I recieved a phone call from Melissa on Sunday and was very greatful for a invite to a water party with all the kids! I love going to things like that cause the kids get to play and the mom's get to talk! There isn't much adult conversation going on at home when all your little girl wants to do is dance and sing! But, I do appreciate my adult time with the Mom's!

Here is Ellie and Brynn! I hope that someday those two get to be good friends caues here in about two months they'll get plenty of playing time together! Melissa is one of my assistant coaches and we'll soon be spending alot of time together!
I don't think that Ellie has ever had an icecream cone before and she now realizes what she is missing out on! She was a complete mess when she was done but I put her in the "FREEZING" pool to clean her up and she had a great time! I love that i have a water baby and that she is not afraid of anything!Just another picture of Ellie enjoying her ice cream but I had to put a picture of Alyvia up cause her and Ellie played in the pool forever and I dare say she is a little more daring then little miss Ellie! She was swimmin all over the place! She is such a doll!

State Softball

05/15/08-05/16/08
This year Kayla (my baby sister) made it to state softball and my mom decided to come down since it will probably be the last time that they get to go to state! I love it when my mom comes to visit cause i don't get to see her very often so I'll get it anyway I can take it. Well, She got her thursday afternoon and we picked Grandma June up and took her with us to Pocatello to watch Kayla play! They didn't do very good the first game. But the second game they played against Glenn's Ferry and I was so excited that they beat them! We played them during our season and I very much did not like them. Poor sportsmanship really gets me FIRED UP! Anyways they beat them my one and that is all that really mattered only because I know we have to play them next year to get to state so we're gonna beat them and take Declo to state! And then the second game they totally got whommped on but at least I got to see my mom and sister for a few days!
This is a just a picture of my mom and Ellie when she got here. I had to get it then cause I knew we would run out of time to get any pictures taken!
I just thought Ellie just looked so cute posing on a bench out in front of Applebee's after the game on thursday! It just amazes me how fast they really do grow up!
This is Kayla "attempting" to hit the ball! But don't worry she struck out!
This is Kayla and I. Sometimes when I look at her after I haven't seen her for a long time I feel like I'm looking at myself ten years ago! It's really frightening! But I love her even though she can be a pain "most of the time". LOVE YOU!
This is Ellie and Kayla. Obviously Ellie was sleeping but Kayla insisted on having a picture with her. The softball games wore the poor kid out!

The New Baby Girls!!!

05-14-08
Today Ellie and I decided to go and see some cute new babies in the area! So we stopped by the little Harris home to check on our cute little McKendrie. Thank goodness that we have her to love on so Ellie doesn't think she needs a baby brother or sister! We are deffinately not ready for one of those! We love going over the Harris's because they always have fun things to play with and according to Jaylee that is where Ellie's "BOYFRIEND" lives! This is just the kids having a little bit of play time while I'm talking with Kenna! We are going to get to see alot of these little ones cause were all going to be going a little stir crazy this summer!
Let me tell you Kenna is a brave soul letting Ellie hold "BABY" but she loved it! And when she was done she was done!
Our second stop of the day was to the little Darrington clan! Ellie loves going over there to cause Maylee and Braiden keep Ellie very entertained! And thanks to those two Ellie slept good that night and was ready to go again the next day! We Love that Darrington family!
I just love this chair that Jeff and Char have! It's a mini recliner and come to find out. Ellie loved it too!
Such brave mama's letting Ellie have "BABY" time. But this is Ellie helping Char feed baby Gracie! And let me tell you this is one cute little baby girl! I'm just so glad that we have such good friends and family in the area that when we are bored we are allowed to go and bug! We just hope those babies keep growing strong and healthy!

Darrington Funny Farm!

Ellie has a very strong "LOVE" for animals! I love animals but not as much as this kid. She insists on going out to the "op, op" (aka baby bunnys) every time we go over to grandma and grandpa Darrington's! Not to mention she has to kiss them! Grandpa Val loves getting turkeys to raise every year! Well, this year since Ellie is big enough to take outside and play he decided to get chics and geese for her to play with. She loves them and has now figured out how to catch them. Even faster then grandpa! I am so excited that she loves to be outside and enjoys and appreciates animals!
This is Ellie looking at all the baby chics! (Jaylee you really need to come and see them!)
Ellie and her grandpa just watching the "quack quack"!(aka turkey and geese) He couldn't be more excited then sitting there with his baby girl!
Yet again, Ellie has to kiss everything and this would happen to be her goose!
Learing how to catch em. She is pretty fast! In the background you can see the yellow baby geese. All the rest of them are the baby turkeys!
(If and when any of you need something to do this summer just call me and I'll be happy and take the kids over to show them tons of baby rabbits, turkeys, chickens, and can't forget about the geese. It just gets Val so excited to see kids enjoying the animals. I really think that is why he gets them!)

Mommy's "BIG" Helper!

Yesterday I was trying to get the dishes done so I could run to town and Ellie insisted on "elp, elp" (help, help) So i put her up on a chair and she dug right into helping me with the dishes. I got to laughing so hard cause she would put her hands in, lick the suds off her fingers and hand me a dish. It was just so cute I couldn't help but take a few pictures! She was very serious about helping. I just wish I was that eager to get the dishes done myself!
Don't worry I made sure there were not sharp objects in the sink. Or anything that she could break!
As you can see the suds on her face and hands! : )
I had to add this picture becaues my child is so random! She insists on sitting in chairs in the most uncomfortable positions. Like in her high chair or when we go to the grocery story and she is sitting in the cart. She just refuses to sit normal! I just thought this was funny that I caught her in action. I promise I put her in their normal!

Happy Birthday to me!

Yesterday I turned tweny-six! Wow, I feel so old! LOL! Not really, I'm actually feeling really good about life! I guess after you turn twenty-five the birthdays don't really matter anymore. There's no more jokes about being a quarter of a century old. Although Layne did tell me I was closer to thirty then twenty! And I didn't appreciate that very much. Life just goes on! When I was younger I never would of imagined the life that I am living! First of all being married to a farmer! That is just a cliche for all the many jokes about farmers that I made growing up! Now I love being married to a farmer! I enjoy going out and sitting in a tractor with him and enjoy our long talks while being together! And I thought I would have at least 3 kids by now. But let me reassure you! I am VERY satisfied with my ONE and will be for a few more years! I am the biggest chocolate lover in the world and if you ever want to experience pure bliss. Go to Costco and get an "All American Chocolate Cake". I swear it's the best cake in the world. Put in the microwave for 20 seconds and you got yourself a little piece of Heaven!
Nothing like exaggerating blowing out the candles. I was waiting for Amanda to take the picture so I could blow them out. Layne was making fun of me for this picture all night!
Little Miss Ellie Enjoying a little bit of mommy's birthday cake. it was so cute she sang "Happy to you" all day! I guess she learned it at day care cause of a little girls birthday and has been singing it ever since. It's amazing the things that they pick up! She is just so cute to watch right now! She Picks up on everything.
Layne and Erica Dishing up everyone with cake and icecream!
Ragen and Amanda enjoying their cake!

Semester Over!

On Thursday afternoon I finished my last semester at CSI and I am so excited to be done! This semester I worked extra hard and took 21 credits. I recommend not to do that unless you really want to stress yourself out! But I'm glad that its over and I pulled off good grades! I'm looking forward to moving on in school and finally getting to be in the teacher program. At this point I'm very decisive where I want to go and what is going to work best for me and my family but, I'll figure it out and eventually make up my mind. With that SUMMER IS HERE and I'm not going to do anything this summer other then enjoy my beautiful daughter and my husband! And maybe get to that spring cleaning! (FINALLY)

Happy Mother's Day!

Just thought that I would put a special message about my mom! I just want her to know how much I lover her and am so greatful for her. I am so greatful for the relationship that we have and that I can call her up any time I want and she is always willing to listen! I'm also greatful for the grandma she is to my little girl and to my neice! I know she thinks about them often and only wants what is best for them! I love knowing that my mom is always there to lend a shoulder to cry on and she always understands! Thanks mom for being who you are and I Love everything about you!
Thanks Teresa for always willing to help with Ellie when ever needed! We appreciate you and are greatful for all that you do! Hope you both have a happy mother's day and know that we love you!

Aunt Jessica Visiting!

My sister Jessica came and stayed a few days with Ellie while we were gone and these are just a few pictures that she took. I just found them quite entertaining because Ellie just looks a little worn out and like a rag a muffin!
I guess I can finally say she's got hair and it goes EVERYWHERE!
This is Matt whom is Jessica's boyfriend and this picture just cracked me up so I had to put it on here. They were so good to watch Ellie and got to spend time with her. And Val and Teresa and the kids also helped out with Ellie and it was much appreciated!

Las Vegas!!!

Last thursday Layne, Chuck, Dusty (D-Dawg Penrod), Josh and I left for Las Vegas. We met Ragen, Kelsi, and Blake down there and had a wonderful time. We have been planning this trip for almost 6 months now and it has finally came and went. We always go down about the same time to the the supercross races. This time was pretty cool cause anyone could of won the championship because the points were so close. But Of course Chad Reed won and Layne and I couldn't of been happier espeically with all the crap that we were handing out. Anyways we were able to see new things and of course the famous ones like M&M Factory and the Coca Cola Factory. I was able to go to the stratosphere this time since I had never been there. It was so amazing to see Las Vegas from the very top of that thing! I'm so glad to have went but it's always a pleasure to be home. Thanks guys for the fun trip and we're looking forward to going again next year.

We got a picture of the board because Layne's favorite guy from Deadliest Catch was there and we were just super excited about it.

This is a picture of Layne and I enjoying the race. It was the best day in the world for a supercross race

This is Blake, Scott, Dusty, and Josh being a baby while I took a picture of them waiting for the race to start!

Just a picture of the track!

Layne resting in the hotel room the first night we were in vegas! It was SUCH a nice bed! LOL

First time on the Potty

Ever since Ellie was one year old i have attempted putting her on her big girl potty. But she just doesn't have it. She screams and cries and throws a fit every time I sit her on it. And it has been really frustrating for me but we are working on it. Well, on Wednesday the 30th of April Ellie woke up with a dry diaper and I figured now was as good as time as any so I held her down bribing her with a treat and she went and did such a good job. When she was done she was so proud of her self and proceeded to put her babies on her potty (after I washed it out of course!) We are now one step closer to jumping on the potty training wagon. HURRAY!!!!

Family Home Evening with the Harris's

Last monday we had the Harris's and Layne's Family over for a weenie roast. The fire was so big that it was to hot to get around so we had to make smaller fires to actually roast a hot dog. But it all turned out and the kids had fun. Amanda, Ellie, and Rigdon had tons of fun climbing up and down Layne's jumps. I think Ellie and Ridgon just had more fun making Amanda help them up the jumps. She is a good sport and the kids loved her. And Layne discovered that he has a new pyroo friend. Jaylee loved watching Layne throw the gas on the fire to make it "BIGGER" and bigger. She is such a cute little girl. I'm so greatful for Chip and Kenna and their friendship. We are looking forward to their new addition so we can love on her as well!

Ellie Funnies

"Conversation with Granny June"

Granny get's out of the car and says "I need to use the rest room."

Ellie says "You need to go potty?"

Granny "Yes"

Ellie says "Okay I'll take you."

(Granny could not even tell me the story because she was laughing to hard. I thought it was so cute she wanted to help.)

"Sacrament Meeting 08/09/08"

Ellie "Mom where is your bag"

Dad "Do you want a snack?"

Ellie "Yeah" Cough Cough Cough
Dad preceeds to get her a treat but she started gaging a little bit. Chokes spits up a little bit, and Layne catches it in his hand.
Ellie (look of disgust) "Dad go throw it in the gabage that is DISGUSING"
So Layne gets up and washes his hands.
(I about peed my pants laughing)

"This Morning 08/18/09"

I was in the kitchen making hot chocolate. Which I LOVE. Ellie decides she wants some to. But I was watching my TV show and told her to wait a minute. She was not going for that so she grabbed my arm and says "Pease Mom your the best". I love it when she says that, how can you tell her to hold on then?!

"On our way home from Twin. 8/22/09"

Ellie was whinny in the back seat and Layne started to mimic her and she got really mad and said. "Dad quit being a whiner."

"Tonight sitting on my lap in the Kitchen 9-08-09"

Ellie: I wanna get married

Mom: dieing of laughter "what did you say"

Ellie: I wanna get married

Dad: Not till your thirty!

Ellie: Ok

10/05/09

All of us playing make believe after dinner?!

Ellie: Mom you be Ellie, I'll be Dad and Dad be mommy because you have a Belly like mommy... (I laughed so hard)

So she wanted some dinner and said while deepening her voice "Darlin bring me some dinner"

We were laughing way to hard to keep playing... She was on one that night

12/02/09

After bringing Jayci home from the hospital.

Ellie: Mom why is Jayci eating your boob?(said so disgustedly)

Mom: because that is how she gets her food.

Ellie: Can she eat my boob?

01/24/2010

Getting ready for church.

I curled Ellies hair this morning and put a cute flower in it. She was wearing a new dress with her boots. I told her she looked rockin. She says "yeah i'm rockin" I tried to get her to put her coat on but she said "no mom I want to show dad how fashionable I am" Seriously what three year old talks like that.
02/08/10
Setting the scene: Ellie walks out of my room with just a t shirt on. I ask her. Where are your pants. She says: Mom their wet! well why or they wet. With her hand on her hip and shaking her finger at me she says "Because moder I had an Asserdent"
