Promanade!

So on saturday we went to the Promanade and Ellie had to get a picture taken with "HI HI HI" (that is what she calls Uncle Brad because every time he sees her he says "HIII HIII HIII" so that is what she thinks his name is. Kinda cute! She truly loves her Uncle "HI HI HI." Everyone looked so pretty and I loved watching all the girls from volleyball and softball they looked FABULOUS!!!!

The Darrington Easter Egg Hunt!

I know it's a little late but the weather never cooperated with us and was always to cold for the kids to be outside. So we decided to do our family Easter Egg Hunt on the 12th on April! And everyone knows that I have been boycotting the whole Easter thing cause I think it's stupid that it's that early in the year so I haven't even said anything about it till now. But Ellie and her cousins had a great time and it was actually about 70 degrees outside.

Her Favorite part of the day was sliding down Uncle Mark and Aunt Verla's slide all by herself. She just kept going back for more and more and more. We're going to have to get her a swing set one of these days. But I think her dad's first priority is getting her a sand box.

A week for me!

I don't remember the last time I had a week just for me. And what I mean by that is just hanging out with the girls. And Layne was so wonderful about just taking Ellie and not making me feel guilty about leaving at all! I sure appreciated it very much. Because, I don't honestly think that I have ever done a girls night since the night before I got married! But it just so happend that this week I got to have dinner with all my immediate (girl) married cousins on the Darrington side that live close in the area. It was wonderful. We had such a good time, that we've decided to make it a monthy ritual. Now I have some girl time to look forward too and hopefully we'll catch the girls that live out of town once in awhile too. And last night I got to have another girls night, but this time it was with friends, and friends of friends and we did a craft. And let me tell you I'm not crafty, but I actually did it and had a good time. We made growth charts for our kids, they are super cute! But mainly, I really enjoyed just spending time with Mom's that have some of the same trials and challenges that we all face with our kids. Each of us shared just a little advice and I thought that it was very helpful to know when Ellie get's just a little bit bigger I'll know how to handle the same situation. It was nice just to share funny stories that our kids have done. (Jaylee and Rigdon always make me have a good laugh. They are the cutest little kids! Love ya!)I learned alot from each of them and look forward to getting to know them better! Thanks Girls for a wonderful week!

Working At Grandma's!!

Last year for christmas all of us kids went in on getting teresa a sprinkler system for the house. So a few weeks ago Layne and Kelly had started working on it and Ellie and I were out "helping" by watching daddy and Kelly work. We were deffinately more into watching then helping cause ellie had pigs to see and dirt to dig in. Not to mention riding in the tractor with her dad. When ever Ellie can be outside she is and cries when we have to go in. As of two weeks later with a few complications the sprinkler system is in and working well. We are so exited to have it in. Uncle Kelly put alot of time into it to make it work properly! If ever you need help with your yard he is the man to call!

We hadn't had a family picture taken for a long time so I figured this is the perfect opportunity. I am deffinately looking lovely with strep throat wanting to die and not to mention it's FREEZING outside! Oh Well! Mom's can't always look glamorus!

This is Ellie's favorite spot in the world at Grandma and Grandpa's. She LOVES the pigs. In about 3 days Grandpa bought Ellie some geese so we'll see if she likes them or not. It aught to be intresting to see who beats up on who...

She is SUCH a girl!

A week ago we were getting ready to go to Jill's reception and Ellie was playing in her toy box. I couldn't resist taking these pictures of her. I thought she just looked so cute! She is truly a girl through and through...

A few days later I was sitting on the couch doing homework and Ellie came up to me with my curlers and said "preii, preii". She sat still on my lap and let me put them in her hair. Which is really surprising since it's a screaming fight to put one little piggy tail in her hair. She HATES getting her hair done! A while after that I tried taking them out and she "FREAKED" yelling "OWIE MOMMY OWIE"... It was really funny and by the time I got them all out she was bawling and her hair was a frizzy mess. She is pretty entertaining sometimes!
