Uncle Braddy's New Toy

After so many surgery's and alot of pain all Brad wanted was a little 50 motorcycle. He went out and bought himself one the other day and really just could of bought it for Ellie because she wants on it all the time and begs everyone to go faster. Thank goodness all her family loves her and will do anything to keep her happy because she LOVES that bike. I tell Brad by the time he gets home off his mission Ellie will be a great "DRIVER" and will have his little motorcycle wore out. And his only reply is I hope she can ride so we can go together when I get back. We love Uncle Braddy so much and don't know what we would ever do with out him besides miss him a TON!!!!

Riding at the Dunes

(This post is really late but I wanted to get it up so I can have it for my blog book.) Right after we got home from our last trip to Orofino the boys decided to head out on a riding trip before Brad went to work and it got to hot. Give the Darrington boys a day off and a reason to go riding and they are off. Layne really enjoys his riding days and I enjoy him when he gets home because he has a much better outlook on life. In a few months Brad and Kaylen are both going to be gone on missions and I know they will be MISSED alot exspecially when it is time for a riding trip.

"Another" Trip to the ZOO

Last Saturday my mom and step dad were headed to boise to see my step siblings so Ellie and I decided to go and meet them. When I got up that morning here in Declo it was FREEZING and the rain was POURING. So of course I packed for a chilly day and then the more I thought about it I packed a different outfit for warm weather. Which was a very good thing because as soon as we got to Bliss the sun was shining and there was hardly a cloud in the sky. It ended up being a beautiful day and we got to spend it with my mom so what more could I ask for. All week I knew we were going to the zoo so that was a great threat to hold over Ellie's head and for the most part it worked. She woke up already talking about how she was a good girl and she gets to go to the zoo. We had a great day and afterwards we ate at my favorite restraunt "RED ROBIN" went shopping and then headed home.

Swimming at 72 degrees....

I woke up on June 16 and it was clear outside and just decided that Ellie and I needed to go do something fun since we had only gotten RAIN for the past two weeks. So we called to see if the girls wanted to come swimming with us. I had heard about this acquatic center in Pocatello and thought we would give it a try. I figured since the sun was shining that it would be WARM... Not even close, it was actually freezing. By the time we were done Ellie's little hands and face were blue, but she sure had a great time. I love summer days and I exspecially will love going back to this acquatic center because it has a great swimming place for kids and only cost $1.25 to get kids 3 and under in and who can argue with that. Well we ended up taking a full van of girls and I'm pretty sure they all had a great time. Next time I won't jump the gun and will wait till it is at least 80 degrees outside before I go swimming ANYWHERE! Thanks for the fun day!

10 little Piglets and puddles...

June 13, 2009
This particular Saturday the power was out for seven hours. Ellie and I were getting SOOO bored sitting at home so we decided to go for an adventure and see Grandpa's new piggies. So we packed up and headed over. Ellie thought that they were so cute she wanted to hold one. Well, have you ever tried to catch a piglet. It is so hard because they are so fast. Well, since we couldn't catch them Ellie decided to get in and chase them. And chase them she did ALL OVER THE PLACE. When she was done it was time to check on all the other animals that are at Grandpa's when finished with that it was time to jump in the puddles. Thank goodness that Nana and Grandpa have a generator and allowed us to take showers at their house because Ellie stunk like pigs and manure water. It was a fantastic day of spending time with Daddy.

Robertson Fun

June 12, 2009
When I was in getting Ellie's haircut today by Char she invited us to her mom's neighborhood party. It was alot of fun and we had a great time. I have to post a few pictures of Braden and Ellie because she loves him so much. She just wanted him all night and he was so protective of her in the jump house. We sure love Char's kids and I am so greatful that they are close and are always willing to play. Not to mention Ellie loves Char as well. As you can see, they had a great time dancing.

I thought I was over this stage?

This post is just a few weeks out of line but I had to post it. Ellie was in a very distructable mood apparently for a few days and just needed some attention. First pictures were right before we were headed to the movie she decided to put my makeup on while I was in the shower. I personally think she did very well. I exspescially love the go-tee. And then she found her baby butt paste. She came to show me her "LOTION" and I about died. I could smell that it was BUTT paste and knew that was going to be a battle to get out of her hair. We did but I don't think she will be putting lotion in her hair any time soon after all the scrubbing we had to do.

Ellie's 2nd Haircut

A few weeks ago, Layne started making comments about Ellie's stringy hair. Saying it was time for a hair cut. I didn't really want to cut it because I was just able to start doing fun things with it. Thank goodness I was finally talked into cutting it because I LOVE it. She looks so grown up and her hair looks so much healthier. Thank goodness for Char and her hair cutting skills. Ellie sat still the whole time and enjoys just being around Char. She is the best. Thanks Char!

A Shout out to Good Neighbors

Apparently last night around 1:00 a.m. someone tried to load "TANK" up and steal him. It's a good thing our neighbors were up and looking out for us because he probably would of been gone this morning. Justin called at about 1:00 to tell us and of course we have the fans and air conditioner running and couldn't hear a thing so we slept through all the action. It's a good thing because I don't think Layne would of been very forgiving and probably would of ended up hurting someone. (He LOVES Tank and would be VERY upset)According to Justin they were being loud and were shocked that we couldn't hear them. And thanks to Kelly Mangum for chasing them and meeting up with the cops leaving a partial plate and description of the car with them. We woke up to all the messages and of course to our sweet "LITTLE" guy still sitting on the porch. We are so lucky to have great neighbors and to live in a great community. Thanks Mangums for always looking out for us, we TRULY APPRECIATE YOU! Can you even image trying to put "TANK" in a little car??? What were they thinking???

Never Say Never....

A few weeks ago I was talking to Layne about how I don't think in all of our married years that I have ever burnt anything that I have made. Well, today I should of known but I did it anyway. I had to run over and talk to Val about butchering chickens and left a pot of ham-n-beans on the stove on low. Of couse I thought it would be okay, but really what do I know? Well, 1 1/2 hours later I come homke and think to myself Roland Bott must be burning stubble again. But wouldn't you know it smoke was coming out from underneath the door and my house was filled with it. BUMMER... I was so proud of myself and just knocked myself down. Oh well, I guess I have now learned my lesson and will never say never again.

Cooking Tips by Krissy

Step #1: Find Husbands riding goggles to place over your eyes.
Step #2: Find the Large Onion you are suppose to dice up.
Step #3: Dice the Onion with NO TEARS OR BURNING.
Step #4: Put Goggles back in gear bag so not to misplace them.

I love this trick. Every time I have to cut onions and do not have my contacts in; I head down stairs to Layne's gear bag and find his older goggles. It prevents many tears and alot of pain. Ex specially because I HATE cutting up onions. But I was making Ham and Beans and it requires them, so I had to get to cutting. Don't mind the garments I hate putting on cloths in the morning till I absolutely have to.

Checking the Mail

Layne had just gotten home from work and Ellie wanted to see her Dad. So she ran in her room got her flip flops on and was out the door. When I went to see what she was doing, they were checking the mail and all she had on was her undies and flip flops. I was dying to think what if someone drove by and thought child neglect. But I have to say she is pretty cute in those princess panties....

First week of June

Val and Teresa went on vacation for the first week of June and left Layne, Ellie, and I in charge. We have a few mishaps with rabbits and of course we did the cow day. But over all it was a quiet week and Ellie and I just enjoyed eachothers company.

Today we had our 14 week check up and everything looks great. I am feeling good and inevitably I am really tired. When I lay down to take a nap on the couch Ellie curls right up next to me and watches Dora. At the Doctors today I was down in weight lower then I was the first appointment I had. He was a little concerned thinking that the weight loss has something to do with my Crohn's Disease. He feels as though the baby is getting all it needs but I am not. Dr. J says the body has a way of protecting the baby much more then the needs of the mother. Not that I'm complaining. I do not mind that I am lower in weight. That means LESS TO LOSE... He says we are not going to worry about it for another month until I have my next ultra sound and we'll go from there. He also asked me what I think the sex of the baby is, he says usually I don't agree with the heart beats and stuff but he is convinced we are having a girl. They went back in my chart and compared Ellie with baby #2 on heart beats per minute and he is just amazed that they are exactly one beat off every time. So, I told him that I thought I was having a girl and he now says he'll put money on it. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE ANOTHER GIRL!!! Cheaper for me since I have TONS of baby girl stuff and not one boy thing. I believe I have 2 blankets that could work for a boy or a girl but that is it.... So we'll just find out for sure in a month but I'm really betting on a girl.

Great Granny's Puppies

Ellie was dying to go over and see Granny's puppies so we finally did. I was trying to at least give them a week to grow before she mangled them to death but she did really good. They didn't have their eyes open yet so we'll have to go back and see them later but I just thought they were so stinking cute. And right now they are the center of my Grandma's world which is so good for her.

Ellie Funnies

"Conversation with Granny June"

Granny get's out of the car and says "I need to use the rest room."

Ellie says "You need to go potty?"

Granny "Yes"

Ellie says "Okay I'll take you."

(Granny could not even tell me the story because she was laughing to hard. I thought it was so cute she wanted to help.)

"Sacrament Meeting 08/09/08"

Ellie "Mom where is your bag"

Dad "Do you want a snack?"

Ellie "Yeah" Cough Cough Cough
Dad preceeds to get her a treat but she started gaging a little bit. Chokes spits up a little bit, and Layne catches it in his hand.
Ellie (look of disgust) "Dad go throw it in the gabage that is DISGUSING"
So Layne gets up and washes his hands.
(I about peed my pants laughing)

"This Morning 08/18/09"

I was in the kitchen making hot chocolate. Which I LOVE. Ellie decides she wants some to. But I was watching my TV show and told her to wait a minute. She was not going for that so she grabbed my arm and says "Pease Mom your the best". I love it when she says that, how can you tell her to hold on then?!

"On our way home from Twin. 8/22/09"

Ellie was whinny in the back seat and Layne started to mimic her and she got really mad and said. "Dad quit being a whiner."

"Tonight sitting on my lap in the Kitchen 9-08-09"

Ellie: I wanna get married

Mom: dieing of laughter "what did you say"

Ellie: I wanna get married

Dad: Not till your thirty!

Ellie: Ok

10/05/09

All of us playing make believe after dinner?!

Ellie: Mom you be Ellie, I'll be Dad and Dad be mommy because you have a Belly like mommy... (I laughed so hard)

So she wanted some dinner and said while deepening her voice "Darlin bring me some dinner"

We were laughing way to hard to keep playing... She was on one that night

12/02/09

After bringing Jayci home from the hospital.

Ellie: Mom why is Jayci eating your boob?(said so disgustedly)

Mom: because that is how she gets her food.

Ellie: Can she eat my boob?

01/24/2010

Getting ready for church.

I curled Ellies hair this morning and put a cute flower in it. She was wearing a new dress with her boots. I told her she looked rockin. She says "yeah i'm rockin" I tried to get her to put her coat on but she said "no mom I want to show dad how fashionable I am" Seriously what three year old talks like that.
02/08/10
Setting the scene: Ellie walks out of my room with just a t shirt on. I ask her. Where are your pants. She says: Mom their wet! well why or they wet. With her hand on her hip and shaking her finger at me she says "Because moder I had an Asserdent"
