Happy Valentine's Day to Our Missionary

Yesterday we went a Valentine's package to Brad. I had Ellie finger paint a picture for her Uncle Brad. And then I took the girls footprints and made hearts that say I love you. I hope that he likes them. We sure love our Missionary and are so grateful for his willingness to serve the Lord.

I am a Child of God

Whenever I lay Jayci anywhere and she starts crying, I hear Ellie running to the rescue. With in seconds I hear her singing "I am a child of God". She is the best big sister. I love that no matter what she wants "HER BABY" to be happy and 9 times out of 10 her singing to Jayci gets her to stop crying. Who knew that such a bossy 3 year old could be the best helper to her Mommy!

Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Sleeper

Oh my little Angel is the worst sleeper in the world. I have had to be very creative in getting her to go to sleep. She either sleeps on the couch propped up with a pillow with another pillow squishing her tight against the back of the couch or she is sleeping in her swing. I have gone threw so many batteries that it is ridiculous but OH SO WORTH IT! But if you asked me how she sleeps during the day I would say like an angel. And it's not that she sleeps all that long during the day. She takes two really good naps and is up the rest of the time. I wish that there was some miraculous trick that I could do to get her to go to sleep at NIGHT!!! Don't get me wrong some nights are great. Then there are nights like last night that I stopped counting after 15 times that I got up with her. I would rock her until she is dead asleep and then 10 minutes later she is crying. Really it happens all the time. I always look at Layne and say am I going to be up in two minutes or will she be out for the night. We NEVER know. Any suggestions?

Two Months Old

I cannot believe that my baby is two months old today. I sat back and watched her swing in her swing and thought to myself "I can not believe how quickly she is growing?"

A few things about me in my first two months:

• Yesterday Jayci giggled out loud when I was tickling her.


• She loves her sister and follows her with her eyes and head everywhere she goes. ( I think that her neck has built some serious muscles because she already holds her head up and wants to be looking all around)


• Her Dad thinks that she is going to be his adventourous one. She wants to fly, bounce, move, and get her bum patted all the time.
  
• She would rather be held by her mom and dad than anyone else.


• She sleeps in her swing 90% of the time or on the couch the other 10%
  
• Jayci has the curliest, crazyest dark brown hair. Usually it's out of control and there is no fixing it.
  
• Loves taking baths in the big bath tub with her sister.
• Oh and last but not least. She is the WORST did I mention WORST sleeper in the world. She takes great naps during the day but it takes Me hours to get to bed at night. Like for instance I started putting her to bed at 10:30 and didn't get her to FINALLY fall asleep till 1:30 a.m. AHHHH.....

I sure love this girl and am greatful she is here. Once we work out all her kinks we'll all sleep a little better at night...
