Cousinly Love
We were at Uncle Mark and Aunt Verla's last night watching fireworks up the river and I happened to catch these little cuties playing by the river. How could you not take a picture of this? They were so cute and had alot of fun posing for me. Even holding hands was their idea. I absolutely loved this one that I took. In this picture from left to right is Keegan, Maylee, Ellie, and Garrett! How cute are they?!
A Fun Filled 4th of July
Overall it was a FANTASTIC 4th of July weekend. I'm so gratful for those out there fighting for our freedoms.
Mother/Daughter Relief Society Activity
For the Mother/Daughter activity we made flip flops, temple pictures, and hair bows. It was a good time and I enjoyed spending time with Ellie. Her attention span isn't that long so we were glad to have many activities to do! Thanks Sis for the fun night!
7 Months
July 1st. Here are just a few of Jayci's 7 month stats. She says "mamamama" when she is mad or sad. Layne always says now aren't you glad you taught her to say that first! LOL She weighs 19 lbs. Whew just a little chubby as we like to call her. She is trying to sit on her own. When she rolls over she turns in circles and plays with all the toys around her. And she still thinks her sister is the most amazing thing on the face of the planet! And she truly only loves to sleep in her very own bed. And miraculously she hasn't been in her swing for almost 2 weeks. That is a miricle!

Swimming Lessons
I wish I would of known years ago how important swimming lessons are. Ellie has never taken swimming lessons but loves the water. We used to go to the kiddie pool in Burley daily when we actually had a warm summer and Ellie would live in the water. But I never thought to take her to swimming lessons. I finally decided this year that it is time to get the kid over her fear of putting her face in the water. So the first day of swimming lessons the teacher would ask "Ellie do you want to do this?" Or "Ellie could you do this?" And guess what the reaction was. "Um NO. I'm going to just watch." So the next day I told the teacher just tell Ellie what she is going to do and she'll do it. So she did and wouldn't you know it Ellie learned but put her face in the water, float on her back. jump off the side and go under the water, and her favorite was "motor boat, motor boat!" I cannot believe how much confidence she gained in just one week of swimming lessons. I loved doing them at the raquettball club because she got alot of one on one time and loved being in a class with her cousin Maylee. They were so cute together and it totally made their friendship stronger. I was grateful that Maylee was there and coaxed Ellie into doing things the teacher couldn't get her to do. Thanks May. She also had a substitute teacher one day and the first thing Ellie said to me when she saw him was "Mom my teachers hot huh?!" Of course he kinda looked at me funny and I said to him I can't help that she has 13 and 16 year old Aunts. And he just smiled and went on with his job. It was funny. I'm pretty sure I'm in trouble with this little Miss when it comes to boys!
I'm sitting all on my own!
For a few weeks now I have been trying to get this little woman to sit on her own. Of course she is stubborn and related to her sister and decided herself when she was going to do it. So last week she decided it was time. She doesn't sit for very long but she is getting better everday! I cannot believe how big she is getting. I sure love this little girl and her crazy hair!
