Ellie's Big girl Bed!

What a blessing this new bed has been! The minute we set this bed up she was a different girl. I don't know why that is. It just seemed like all the sudden she was so grown up! The first thing she did was get all her babies and line them up on her pillow she put them to sleep! It was so cute! And let's not forget the jumpin on the bed! All she would say is "jumpa jumpa jumpa" and of course we let her jump for awhile and then told her big girls don't jump on their bed! She forgets sometimes but she loves her new bed! It's almost been two weeks since we moved her into her big girl bed and she has only gotten up once and then this morning I found her asleep on the floor outside our room and didn't even know she was there. Sometimes she'll just say "boddow" and go crawl up in her bed! It's so sad to watch your baby move from a crib to a big bed! It just means that were that much closer to getting a nother bundle of joy. But I'm just not quite ready but someday I'll get there! We just have a few more milestones to hit before I feel as though I am ready! I'll have to put some more pictures up later of her new and decorated room which I did in "pincess" she loves it and always talks about her "pincess" bed!

Ellie's New Puppy

Today some puppies were brought over to the cow station and I've been kinda been buggin Layne about getting a puppy for Ellie so he called me and had us come over and look at "them" but by the time we got there this is the only one that was left so we took her! I decided Ellie needed a puppy when her last two kittens disappeared! We have no idea what happened to them but I figured she needed something to entertain her other then me so I was glad to get her. She is kinda a homely little puppy but she is already the best little heeler! After the first night I though Layne was going to take her out back and do something with her cause she wouldn't stop barking but a few days after getting her she has finally calmed down and only cries in the morning when she wants attention. It's really funny to watch Ellie with her cause she is to squarely to hold and she definitely gives Ellie a run for her money! she would torture The kittys but this time it's defiantly the other way around. I think she cries more then plays with her "STELLA". That is the puppy's name and she truly is a "STELLA". I'm so glad that we have her cause she'll be a great cow dog some day and it was defiantly time for another puppy! I kinda enjoy her but I think I would prefer ten cats to one dog for sure! And for that cat that is "putters" and he is the most whiny cat we've ever had. I can hear him a block down the road. He is mowing for food or attention and he wants it right then.

Thursday Night Rodeo

We love to go to the rodeo on thursday night it's the best night to go. We actually get to get in free every year on thursday night cause the Darrington farm/dairy donates the calves for the kids to chase and pull the ribbons off the tails! Although next year might be the last year that we do it since we are out of the dairy business and won't be getting any more baby calves. Well, this is the first time that Ellie actually has gone to the rodeo and realized what was going on. Her favorite part was hanging over the top of bleachers and watching the "horsey and cow" while they were in the pins. It was so funny to watch her reactions when the cowboys would ride the horses she would say "mama ride" and then say ride a thousand times and jump up and down. It was just fun to watch her be exicted about everything! She participated in the clapping and cheering along with everyone else.

Aunt Emy was sitting at the top so he and Ellie spent alot of time together cause Ellie needed to see the animals!

Wednesday at the Fair

Today is the first day that we head down to the fair! We always go to the parade in the morning and then come back later that evening to watch the girls show their rabbits!

This year they both did an excellent job. Amanda got Grand Champion in fitting and showing and third place in quality! That little girl worked hard and practiced a ton and obviously it payed off in the end! Then Erica got a blue ribbon. Her poor rabbit had a tic on it and she didn't even know till the judge pointed it out! OOPS! Well, they both did awesome and we're just so glad that they made weight and were able to participate!

But we all know the best part of the fair is the food! Layne and I definitely have our favorites and enjoy eating them at least twice! The maple bars are always a treat to eat. And you can never have just one!

And this year Ellie has definitely picked her favorite things to do. She loves to check out the pigs and hang out with jacks lamb! And her most favorite thing is eatin the "COWN" (aka corn on the cob)! SHE LOVES it. and is so cute to watch eat it. It seriously cracks me up!

Granny's House

Last Day at Granny's House!

The whole visit to grandma's house was great! Ellie and I got to spend alot of time with family that we don't get to see very often! While we were in Orofino Ellie took a likin to her Uncle Derek whom is my little step brother! He is 11 and Ellie just couldn't get enough of him! And thank goodness for Uncle Derek because he entertained her alot while I sat around and read my book! Which in 4 days I finished one and a half books! It was GREAT! Thank you Uncle Derek! We love you!
We also got to spend the last day in Orofino with my brother Jacob and his girlfriend Erin! We were so glad that he came up to spend the day with us cause I hardly ever get to see him cause he works so much! We are so glad that he has a cute girlfriend whom keeps him in his place. Cause heaven knows he needs it! ELlie really enjoyed watching a movie right in between them it was kinda cute!
Also on Sunday was my stepdad's 62nd birthday! So I was glad that we were able to stay for that! He is so good to my mom and to Ellie and I hope he knows how much we appreciate him!
Well, thanks for letting us visit with you for a few days mom! WE SURE DO LOVE AND MISS YOU ALL THE TIME!

Chubby little "ABA"

My mom took the day off of work so that she could spend time with Ellie and I so we headed down to Lewiston to see my niece! She is the cutest-fattest baby I have seen in a long time! My mom calls her the Michelin baby! And if you can recall the ghostly looking guy with tons of rolls on his arms that is my niece! But they are super cute rolls! Ellie loved the pants out of her and wouldn't let her out of her sight! So "ABA" is Ellie's new favorite word! She said it the whole time we were up in Orofino. She would say "Wer ABA" and put her hands up in complete confusion! It was so cute! I'm so glad that my sister is able to experience the joys of having a little girl! And by having this little girl has made my sister and I's relationship so much better! I miss her all the time. I love that Ellie has a cousin close enough that someday they'll be able to play great together!

Water Park with Kayla

Ellie and I had a long 8 hour day in the car yesterday, so I thought that I would take her to a water park and have a little fun! The plan was to go with my older sister and her little girl but it didn't work out that way! Instead Kayla, ELlie and I went and had a great time! She didn't get a nap in all day so it wasn't as much fun as I hoped that it would be! But she loves the water and made the best of it!

Cousinly "LOVE"

At the hot dog roast Ellie and Tregan played really cute together. They just couldn't get enough of each other! Tregan would follow Ellie around with the cutest smile on his face! I cannot wait till they are older and are great friends! I'm so glad that Ellie has some boy cousins her age that will look after her later on in life!

Darrington Family Fun!

On Monday night Aunt Jana and Uncle Tim organized a family home evening and we went to Lake Cleveland to have a hot dog roast. It was tons of fun as usual. I love seeing everyone one last time before harvest. When that starts everyone is to busy to get together! Ellie saying "CEESE"!

What A "LOVELY" Day!

Today started out so lovely. Layne and I got up at nine and Ellie didn't get up till nine thirty. It was great to sleep in. Well this afternoon we had plans to go over to the Rupert fair so the kids could see the animals! Ellie loves animals so of course we had a good time! I needed a break since I've been cleaning all of my carpets this week! Which really needed to get done and now they look wonderful!
Ellie loved Kenna's double stroller. I think she liked that she could just jump on and off when ever she wanted! SOMEDAY we'll have to get one of those!
When we got home around three I put Ellie down for a nap. I knew she was tired so it was going to be a good one! Well, about three fourty five I hear her yelling at me. Which it's fine if she plays and is quiet so I didn't think anything of it. An hour later I walked up around her room and it smelled like a dirty diaper and I didn't think anything of it cause sometimes the diapers need taken out so I dumped the trash! Well, around six o'clock I went in to get her and this is what I saw.................... (I'm SO SORRY Robbie. I know how much you hate gross things!)

She had it everywhere. It was on the wall, up in her nose, you name it the kid had poop all over it. It looked like she had taken her baby swimming in it. I wish I would of went and probably taken her pooty like she was probably trying to tell me when she was yelling but "NO" I let her fall a sleep in it and it was there long enough that it had dried to everything!!!! GROOOSSSS!!!!!

I KNOW! Your wondering why I'm blogging this cause it's so stinkin sick right! Well, when I was pregnant with Ellie my mom said to me "Just wait till she poops in her diaper and wipes it all over the walls!" Apparently when I was younger and my mom was pregnant with my younger brother I had finger painted all over everything! And I thought that would never happen to me. Well I'm here to tell you it did! I never thought in TEN MILLION YEARS that I would be cleaning up anything remotly close to what I made my mom clean up. And I did! So the first thing I did was throw Ellie in the tub and call my mom and apologize to her for making her go through the same thing that I did today! Thank the good Lord I wasn't pregnant! So here it is again "SORRY MOM I LOVE AND APPRECIATE YOU MORE NOW THEN YOU WILL EVER KNOW!!!!"
