DETERMINATION

The other day I was playing with my camera and taking pictures of Jayci and just working with my settings. Obviously this first picture isn't great but it fits right into what that child did in 10 minutes. First she reached up into the candy drawer. She reaching in and found a fun dip packet. She brought it to me so I would open it and I didn't. She got mad and went into the living room. In the mean time I didn't think she would possibly get it open but she pushed her cussions up on the rocking chair and went to work. 10 minutes later I look over and the little booger has it opened and it's lime green and spilled every where. I gave her the fun stick and let her go to town. She won and made the biggest mess but I thought she was pretty cute and VERY determined to get it open!

Ellie's Drawings

A few weeks ago Ellie said she wanted to draw a picture. So this is what she came up with. The first one she says is of her family and Braddy on his mission. Which I love the details that she put into these guys. The second one is of a flower that she drew all by herself and wrote on it To Mom (heart) Ellie. She wanted to know how to spell the letters to say "to Mom" so I told her and this is what she came up with. I LOVE IT! She reminds me so much of my older sister. She was always drawing and coming up with crafts to give people, I hope Ellie continues on this path because she can already draw "people" better then her Mom. When she saw that I was taking pictures of her pictures she wanted to pose with them. The best is yet to come.....

Anniversary GET-AWAY

Has it really been 6 years. I know to most of you that doesn't seem like alot and it doesn't to me either. But I feel like alot of things have changed and we are making improvments in our lives that I am proud of. I love and appreciate my husband more than anything and am so greatful that I get to live with him through out all eternity!

We have been wanting to go on an over nighter for along time and were greatful to use our Anniversary as an excuse. We weren't sure where we were headed but got on the road and actually started out towards Utah. We got to a fork in the road and choose to go to Windover, NV. It was actually a beautiful drive and seemed like it didn't take very long because we didn't have chatty little children in the backseat. When we got to Windover we didnt have a place to stay so started at one hotel and went hotel to hotel looking for a room. George Lopez was in town so everyone was booked. We figured there would be no way the nicest casino/hotel would have a room but we went there last and sure enough they had a king suite with a jaccuzi for only $135. I thought that was a SPLENDID deal and was happy to take it. We then went exploring and ended up at a BUFFET with all you can eat seafood! YUMMO!!! They even went to the trouble of cutting all of the king crab legs in half. SOOOO yeah we had a good time and probably sat there for 1 1/2 hours. I ate white fish and salad. It was FABULOUS!! Layne thought the best part of the buffet was the prime rib. We sat and watched some chinese people eat. and when I say eat I MEAN EAT. PLATES AND PLATES AND PLATES FULL... It was INSANE!! I was sick watching them and couldn't believe how small they were and how much food they put away. Seriously still in shock. Well, we went to the movie that night and just enjoyed eachothers company! We then got up the next morning and were on our way to utah.

In the meantime. My sister was staying at our house with the girls. And wouldn't you know it Ellie is a Darrington and made herself physically sick because we were gone. To the point where she was throwing up and had the diereah. Poor Jessica who doesn't have any kids of her own or deal well with pukes of any sort was STRESSED OUT! Thank goodness Teresa was around to help her out... She was beside herself. But it worked out and when we got home ELlie was perfectly fine and wasn't sick for one more second. She just gets so worked up she can't even function. My husband and her aunts and uncles are just like it.

We finished out our trip in Layton and then to Pocatello and then headed home. I think we made the biggest loop to get home but it was worth every single second together in the car.

It was a JOYOUS weekend!

Our Poor Poor FENCE!!!

Last Night we had a HUGE STORM come through with recorded wind gusts of up to 74 mph. It was awful and scary and I couldn't believe all of the damage that was done in the 30 minutes that the storm took place. There were trees down everywhere, wheel lines across roads AND FENCES KNOCKED OVER!!! Seriously this fence has had the worst luck over the 6 years that we have lived here. It has been ran into twice, and now knocked over. At least it layed down whole and we didnt' have to do to much damage control. My sweet husband has been out there every chance that he gets to fix it because little miss Jayci is not allowed outside unless she is securley locked behind fence. These were just a few snap shots we took of the damage and of course me and Ellie messing around with the camera.

March 1st
Today Jayci also turned 15 months old. I cannot believe she is that old but she is and she is quite the entertainer. A few new things Jayci loves to do is read books. She is not a snuggler but if she has a book she wants you to read to her she'll sit there for 10 minutes so you can read the book to her over and over. She is trying to talk ALOT but jibber jabbers and makes up all kinds of stories. She is really into throwing everything away. Books, cloths, shoes, blankets, etc... I find the darndest things in the trash. I sure love this sweet little girl and can't wait for the next 3 months to get here so I can send her to Nursery! OH HAPPY DAY!!!

One Year Older and Wiser too...

March 1st

Today Layne turned the big 27. I think he had a good birthday we didn't do much but made his favorite dinner and had his family over for cake and ice cream. He got a DVD and some new G's. (Oh yeah underwear for your birthday. AWESOME!!!) Ellie gets sooooo into birthday's its not even funny. She was SOOO excited to help me light the candles and carry the cake to Dad. She then was able to help him blow them out and help open presents. I pretty much love that chocolate covered face. Happy Birthday Darlin. WE LOVE YOU!!!!

Party in the Tub after they got out of the pool. They wanted to leave there suits on so I let them. Ellie said she wasn't done swimmin!! So they were fighting over the faucet. Can you tell who won. Oh yeah it would be the baby with her foot in the air pushing her sister away from the faucet so she could have it all to herself. And Ellie just lets her get away with it. They are quite the duo.

An Over-Nigther Surprise...

After we got our taxes back we needed to go to Twin and get some food storage. Since we were already headed down Saturday night to go out to dinner with Matt, Jessica, and Kayla for Layne and Kayla's Birthdays we though we would surprise Ellie and Jayci with an over nighter so she can go swimming in the pool as long as she wanted. When we first got the hotel there was no wasting any time we were in our swimsuits and on our way. But while I was getting Jayci dressed I thought she was going to hyperventalate with excitement. She has her suit on and I was blowing up her tube. She was dying squeeling and bouncing off the walls. I knew she liked water but this was OVER THE TOP and ohhh so very cute. Layne and I sure got a good kick out of her. When we got to the pool she was trying to DIVE out of Laynes arms and into the water. We put her in her tube and she was happy as a clam. We could of just left her there all night and she would not have even noticed. She was in HEAVEN! After we swam for almost an hour and a half we went up to the room and ate oreo's and milk in bed while watching a movie. It was so fun to just hang out and spoil them just a little bit. Ellie loved staying in the hotel except for the fact that both Jayci and Ellie were on antibiotics and were just getting over their cold so the sleeping arrangements were a little wild. Jayci had not had a nap and was up till MIDNIGHT and Ellie was coughing so through out the night Layne and I had switched sleeping positions 3 times. So was it really worth it???? we could of drove home and slept in our own beds peacefully and got up the next morning and went back to twin or stayed in the hotel. As layne puts it "we made a Memory" haha... It was deffinatley one to go down in the books. Other then that they were so good and we got LOTS and LOTS of food storage. And the most important thing a 60" Plasma TV... Can you say AWESOME!!! I love it!

Crazy Streaker

Jayci is the most entertaining crazy person when she is naked and just getting out of the bath tub. She first of all loves the bath times so she is so excited just getting in the water. Let the child run free for all in the house and she gets to squeeling and screaming out of pure excitement. Most of all it's just hilarious to watch her go crazy. EXCEPT when she thinks it fun to pee EVERY SINGLE TIME. Gotta love this cute little bum.

T.R.O.U.B.L.E

Notice all the cereal on the ground does not have any marshmellows. She dumps it out and eats the marshmellows and leaves the rest. I can't say that I dont' blame her but I HATE cleaning up cereal 20 times a day. So I have officially out smarted her and moved the cereal up to the top shelf of the pantry. ONLY cleaning up cereal at least 3 times a day for the next week after this picture was taken. DUH MOM!

The Man in the Moon....

Ellie is always checking out the moon and this particular night it was HUGE. I then proceed to tell Ellie a story about the Man in the Moon. Now she is determined to be an astronaut so she can meet the "man in the moon". Love that kids are so nieve. But I thought the moon looked so awesome being able to see all the details and shadows.

Happy Valentines Day

As usual on Valentines Day Layne went and got each one of us a speical treat. Since Ellie and I LOVE to be wrapped up in a blanket 90% of the time he bought us both a new blankie along with a box of chocolate. We sure love our Valentine and are so greatful for him. I tried some hair experiements with Ellie's hair this year and thought they turned out pretty cute. Later in the afternoon we went over to the church with a few of my friends and had a little sack lunch/valentine's party for the kids. It was alot of fun and of course the kids had a great time and got lots of candy.
