Cutting Down the Christmas Tree

Usually the weekend after Thanksgiving we go and get our tree from somewhere out in the wilderness. This year we ended up in Yost, Utah. It was a pretty drive and the actually had tons of trees. We got a pinyon. After our adventure out we went to the Outpost and had dinner. It was FABULOUS! Since my Mom was here with us she got to share in the memory and go with us. When we got back from cutting down the tree it was time for her to head to twin and stay the night with my baby sister. Mom thank you so much for coming and spending the weekend with us. We love you and appreciate all that you do!

On the way out Ellie was in the back seat with her hat and sunglasses on yelling WEEE... Like the pig in the commercial crying WEeee weee weee all the way home. It was halarious!

Black Friday Shopping

Last year during Black Friday we had Thanksgiving with my Mom and we were going to be gung ho and be up early to go shopping well that didn't happen. I was nine months prego and DID NOT feel the need to get up at four in the morning and go shopping. We still went Black Friday shopping but it started around 10 or 11. So this year I really felt the need to get up and go. And since my mom was here and Kayla was with us we got up at 4:30 and were at Walmart by 5. Which would be 4 my Mom's time and she didnt' let me forget it all day. We got some amazing stuff and since I needed a new camera I got it on black friday for a grand total of $100 off the original price. So to me it was WELL WORTH IT. So these are some of the first pictures with my camera. I needed the flash but couldn't resist the cute shot of my Mom. So I told her before we went to bed that it is a NO MAKEUP NO DOING HAIR kinda day. So she obeyed and was mad that I made her go like that. But I think she is beautiful! So we had a fabulous day and I LOVED LOVED having my Mom hear with me. It's always nice to spend quality time with her. Oh the crap that Layne and I love to give her. We couldn't ask for a better sport!

Ellie's First Ballet Performance

I bought this toy for Ellie when she turned 2. It is now adopted by Jayci and she FREAKS if Ellie even pushes the button to make it sing. I have laughed and laughed over her and this toy. She loves it. In fact she loves all of Ellie's toys and in her one year of life has played with all of Ellie's toys way more then Ellie even thought about it!

A Much Needed turn of LUCK!

So we ended up taking Jayci to Primary Childrens on thursday afternoon. I was so greatful for the quick time that it took us to get in and when we got there everything went so smoothly. I love that when you walk in there you feel like they have all the answers when it comes to your kids. The doctor that we met with was Dr. Klatt. He was red headed and oh so cute with Jayci. Of course she loved him and his name tag. She went right to him and he started looking her over. I knew everything was going to be okay when he coudln't dislocate her hip. Which he was trying to do with some severe FORCE. Jayci didn't mind because she was eating his name tag. Once he couldn't pop it out he went to the x-ray. He said not only does everything look good but PERFECT. That was such a sigh of relief. Layne and I just looked at eachother and just wanted to cry. When he said he cannot find anything wrong and couldn't feel any popping he wasn't quite sure what to think. I was then holding Jayci on my lap and told him I can feel it popping every time she would try to get away from me. So he said well let me have her. So he held her and with in one minute he said that it was a muscle that is connected from her hip to her knee. The popping I was feeling and HEARING is the muscle snapping back and forth over her hip. It is just loose and will tighten with age. So thank goodness for going there and actually finding out the unknowing. We are and feel very blessed. Not only was it okay but PERFECT.

On a side note: I have been testing driving a mini van for almost two weeks now and think I have finally decided to go ahead and get it. I didn't want a mini van but the thought of giving it back is making me feel paniced. I guess that means that I need to keep it around. I am kind of excited but hate the thought of admiting that to anyone out loud so I will just say it here!

A Hard Day for Mom

A few months ago I started worrying about Jayci and the fact that her hip popped out of place all the time. Some times worse then others but to the point that it sends chills down my spine. Well I finally decided it was time to go in and get a professional opinion. I was starting to worry because as we all know she is a monster and in that walker will run anyone over that gets in her way. But has had no intrest in walking along things or even holding onto my fingers. In fact she would cry like it hurt and just want to sit down. So while I was at the Physical Therapist today getting myself worked on by my mother in law. I asked the Physical Therapist to check Jayci's hip. At first he couldn't tell anything and all of the sudden he popped her hip so loud and hard I wanted to cry for her. It just about made me physically ill. So I went over to our regular doctor (WHOM WHICH I LOVE) for her well baby check up/one year appt and had him check. Within 5 min of him walking in the door we were headed out to go and get xrays, he was so flustered and frustrated with not catching it before he sent us right over. Well, we got the xrays and of course Jayci thought it was fun that someone was holding her down and tickling her. The xray techs were all ready to run away with her but her big sister was NOT having it. So we went back to the doctors office to wait for the results. Sure enough they came back as undertermanint because there was to much scar tissue and ligaments in the way. So wednesday morning we're headed down to twin to meet with an ultra-sound tech that specializes in congenital hips etc.... Depending what they find out we will be heading to primary childrens to a pediactric orthopedist. So here's hoping for a good report.

So as a mother of this oh so innocent looks are decieving baby I wonder what is going to happen. Either they brace her so she can't move or they cast her so she can't move. I'm sad for her because I know it's going to drive her insane. But let's just say I'm kinda torn because she will be immobile and I will have a few weeks to catch up on dejunking the house with out her taring it up behind me or else she is going to be so miserable that were all going to be catering to her. I just feel so bad. I have been completely drained of every anticipating moment today. I pray that they figure out what is wrong on wednesday and we can move towards the next step of getting her better!

Oh Where, Oh Where can my beast be?

You got it. She is under the sink playing in the bucket that catches the water run off. I seriously didn't know whether to laugh or cry when I finally found her. I had been in my room folding laundry. I couldn't hear her terrorizing anything so I went to find her. At which point I couldn't. I was calling her name and nothing. Usually she squeals or throws what she has down to the ground. So I called out for Ellie and we went looking for her. Seriously is it that hard to find a 11 month old in a proximity of 4 rooms. So a few seconds later I hear a rustling under the sink and sure enought that little beast crawled up in their and shut her self in. She was SOAKED from dipping her face and hands in the bucket of water up underneath there. Gotta love a child that roams and finds NEW ADVENTURES??? everyday!

Beautiful Big Eyes

My girls have really emotional eyes. To the naked eye they look brown but if they are upset in any way they turn a bright green. I just love them and thought I would throw them up here. At this moment in time, on the same day, I captured their eyes.

This is a Unicorn Pillow that Aunt Amanda and Erica and Uncle Hobbie got for her. I threatened Amanda at the store that I hated this thing but Ellie loved it and has asked for it for months and months so I really didn't mind that she got it for her. Ellie has packed it with her all over the house. But I'm a mean Mom and won't let it leave the house.

Aunt Erica has a life size Barbie that she let's Ellie tote around once in awhile. So Ellie asked me once if she could have one for her birthday. So Nana talked to Grandma with the dollies and sure enough she had one and made the purple dress which Ellie would occasionally request. She is so cute and has already been loved to peices.

Bat Woman. I came across a few costumes after the Halloween sale and took advantage of the price for new dress ups for Ellie. She loves to dress up by herself and with her friends. This particular one has been on at least once a day since her birthday. Pretty cute super hero if I do say so myself!

Birthday Party with Family

Look how excited she is about this cake. (Lickin her chops) She wanted a Strawberry Shortcake Cake with strawberries on it with Strawberry Shortcake on it with her Friend. So I just made a cake the way she described it. Saved myself a TON of money rather then buying a cutesy fruitsy one!

Excited face for her "LOVELY" Baby All Gone. I personally think the doll is NOT CUTE but that is what Ellie wanted so I got it for her. I'm just glad she was excited about it.

Jayci was chill the whole night. I can guarantee you in 4 weeks when we do this for her #1 (OH MY) Ellie will be all over in her buisness trying to open gifts and "HELPING" But she won't care of know any different. She is just one CUTE little baby!

Ellie has a SLIGHT infatuation with flashlights. Layne had been saying for a few weeks he knew what he was going to get her and sure enough we had to go to HARBOR FRIEGHT so he could get her these specific flashlights like he has in his pickup. And wouldn't you know it she has toted one around with her EVERYWHERE she goes.

Birthday Party at the Little School House Grill

I'm not really a birthday party kind of Mom. But I had heard at the Little School House somtimes they'll let little groups come in and make their own pizzas. And I had thought to myself that Ellie and her friends would love that. So I invited a few to come and have lunch with us and It was a huge success. All the Moms stayed and helped which I loved and Ellie got lots of fun presents. I deffinately won't do it every year but this was a successful first attempt.

The had seen this cute cupcake cake idea of an ice cream cone at Smiths in their cake book. I knew I could make something similar so this is what I came up with. Pretty cute and easy to clean up. The kids loved it.

Serious Happy Birthday CHEESE I have ever seen!

Layne (One of my dearest friends son he's 13 or 14) took the kids outside when they were all done with lunch and let them play in the leaves. They loved it and they all looked so cute. I still can't get over these 70 degree November Days. I am ready for it to be cold but it has been really nice.

Happy 4th Birthday

I cannot believe that I now have a 4 year old. It just seems like yesterday that we had her and now she is four. Here are a few things I love about Ellie.
*LOVES LOVES LOVES her family (I love it when she says Mom I'm so glad I have you forever!")
*Has a SASSY personality. I try to blame it on others but a few weeks ago I was told she acts just like me minus the shaking the finger and has her hands on her hips when she talks. HAHAHAHA
*Loves animals.
*Has a huge imagination and is always talking to herself or her boogers!
*Tells everyone she has lots of Grandmas (Grandma in the Mountains, Nana, Grandma with the Dollies, and Grandma June)
*LOVES CHURCH and is up at the crack of dawn on Sunday mornings wanting to get ready for PRIMARY!
*She loves to Dance/Cheer. Right now we are taking ballet and I'm pretty sure she is the sassiest little ballerina I KNOW!
*Has days when I ask her to do something and she'll do it the first time. Then she has days when I ask her to do something she'll throw herself on the floor or yell at me and have a fit. Somedays I think she may be a little bi-polar.
*Asks me everyday "Mom, where we going today?"
*Loves to sing and has the Pledge of Allegiance memorized. (Might I add it is so cute when she says it and her hand goes right to her heart and she says it MATTER OF FACTLY)
*Loves to give "muscles" when she is mad or teasing she'll always say "Muscles coming your way" with one are flexed.
*And when I asked Daddy what he loves most about you is your "big brown eyes"

11 Month Old Mutant

I ask myself this question. WHY ME? Where did this little "BEAST" come from. I swear she is a mutant. She is Ellie advanced by 1 year. And by this I mean... Lets go back in time a few years ago to this post Here

So now I have this 11 month old that is by far more then I bargined for. Most days I send Layne a text that starts someting like this "the BEAST.... " and it ends with something that she has done through out the day that catches me off guard. Today the text conversation went like this:
K: The beast diaper off shit in crib. AWESOME
L: Better take pictures cuz I remember a different little one doing the same thing!!! LOL hahahahahahahahaha
K: She was TWO
K: Mom stepping in poop across the room meaning she was throwing it
L: Glad I'm not there, that is funny, love you darlin the best mom ever
L: HaHa, the poop throwing beast.
K: AWESOME

So Ellie and I were coloring leaves on the table. I was actually being nice and doing a craft with her and I get punished. NOT FAIR. Anyways Ellie was sitting there and said "Mom something stinks" which I had noticed and figured it was just her tooting or something. Since she noticed I figured it was Jayci who has been feeling a little constipated. So I went to her door which was cracked a SMIDGE and took a BIG WHIFF... and about BARFED. I could see her standing up with no diaper and playing with her fish aquarium. I knew then I was in trouble. I pushed the door open and sure enough she was playing in her poop. Thank goodness it was solid or else it would of been a MESS. So I pulled her out mind you she is smiling and kicking her legs like crazy cause she can hear the bathtub. So I put her in and went to work cleaning the SHIT! So I was picking up chunks off the floor and saw a few clear across the room by the computer which means SHE WAS THROWING IT! Even better. So I cleaned it up, bleached everything, put ALL the bedding in the washer, and have now put her back in her very bleached crib for a nap WITH A ONESIE!!!! (Mom even learns her lessons everyday, dont they say you get smarter with every one!)

And yes she has 4 really crooked bottom teeth and no top teeth yet. We are patiently waiting so she'll be a little nicer when they pop through.

Spooky Dinner for Halloween
