After the Tournament.....

Hunter waiting to get a picture of the girls throwing me in even though I didn't know it at the time. Grrrr.....

looking pretty cute riding the rubber horsey!!!

Six girls trying to get Kayla in the water.

Kari, Sarah and Brinlee going into the water.

Begging her mommy to get her away from that crazy guy!!!

Getting ready to jump in to her daddy's arms.

If those mom's only knew the danger that was going to hit them.

Ellie and Daddy having a great time swimming together.

We all went back to the hotel changed and went to dinner at Applebee's. It was tons of fun but it took us two hours to get our dinner, eat, and get back to the hotel. When we got back to the hotel all the girls just wanted to hang out, swim and play dance, dance in the arcade. So my mom, sisters (Amanda and Kayla), and Ava decided to come and hang out with us. We were just going to watch tv in the hotel and visit. It ended up that Ellie, Ava, and Layne went down to the pool and went swimming. Where Ellie discovered that she LOVES to jump into the pool with out anyone helping her. (It's a good thing her dad was watching her very closely.) So after about 20 minutes of the temptation Sarah Silcock decided to throw Brinlee in the pool with all her cloths. Not to mention Sarah had on all of hers. After a severe WAR of throwing everyone in the pool including all the girls that were dry. They decided to go for my sister whom might I mention is mean and tough, with one swift swoop she let 6 girls throw her in. (I asked her when we got back to the hotel why she didn't fight back, she just said I didn't want to hurt all of them. Which she very well could have.) They decided to move to me. And thanks to Mr. Breshears for helping the girls take my camera off, those little monkey's threw me in garments, shoes and all. I couldn't fight back cause I was laughing to hard. Poor Ellie was screaming BLOODY murder thinking they were going to hurt me. But they didn't and she was actually happy I got in the pool and played with her. After throwing me in those mean girls threw in Mrs. Breashears and my mom SHOT out that door faster then I could even see her leave. It was a great ending to a great tourney and something I will always remember. I love those girls and spending time with my family and husband.

State Softball Tournament

The whole experience was incrediable. I was so proud of the girls and the accomplishments we made. I loved watching them and all of their excitement. We may not of placed with a trophy, but in my mind we made huge strides and made a name for ourselves at the state tourney. Since I have been there when I was in high school I knew all the hype and pressure that was going to happen. But our girls played the best of their ability and proved they wanted to be there.
Our first game was the hardest. we were put against the defending state champions. We knew it would be tough but we held our own. We only lost 0-7 when many of other other teams were mercy ruled by them.
Our second game was against the Kamiah Kubs. I was really into this game because they are a rival school that I played when I was in high school and I just wanted to win no matter the cause. I was sending girls around the bases and making sure that we were always in a scoring position. We actually won this game. I believe the score was 3 to 11. I WAS SUPER STOKED!
The last game of the tourney we played was a heartbreaker of a game. We were down 3-7 at the top of the 7th inning and came back to be 9 to 7. We thought we had the game in the bag but we were wrong the got up to bat and with a few BAD errors on our part we lost the game 9-10. It was hard but to have such an amazing inning that 7th inning it proved to the girls that anything is possible.

Parade of Athletes

At the beginning of the tournament all the teams came together and they annouced the coaches and the school where they were from. They lined everyone up and it looked like a flag when everyone was out there. It was the first time that they had ever been to a parade of athletes and they loved it.

Ellie is Part Fish

When we got to the hotel all the girls wanted to go swimming. So I put on Ellie's swim suit and floaters and took her down to the pool. Well I knew she loved to swim but this was ridiculous. I left my swimsuit at home so relied on the girls to take turns with her and swim with her which they did whole heartily and had lots of fun with her but when it was time to get out this little girl SCREAMED and SCREAMED and refused to go so I had to drag her out of their kicking and screaming. It's a good thing the girls like to swim because they had to help me with her every night. It was the only threat I had on her that if she wasn't good then she couldn't go swimming and she was good 90% of the time.

Headed to State!

These are just a few pictures that I got the morning we were headed off to state. The whole school lined the hallways and made the girls run into a tunnel. It was so fun and gave me the chills. They were so excited to get on the bus and go. How lucky for us that we got to have a REALLY nice charter bus that had enough room for me to take Ellie with me. We had alot of fun watching movies and just hanging out while on the bus. Shirley brought us amazing treats with these HUGE rice crispy's in them and as you can seen Ellie was really wondering how the heck she was going to get it to fit in her mouth. Half way through the trip we stopped in fruitland and had practice and then we went to Ontario to eat lunch. We ended up at the hotel around 6:30 pm. So it seemed like a quick drive but really took us FOREVER!!! I love these girls and had the best time with them!

27 years old and wiser too....

On Mothers Day we also celebrated my birthday because I was going to be on a bus with 13 girls headed to Lewiston, ID for state softball. Every year since we have discovered the ALL AMERICAN CHOCOLATE CAKE from Costco, I get one to celebrate my birthday. I look forward to it every year and only get it around that time of year because as you can see it's four layers of chocolatey goodness. It's so rich you can really only eat a sliver but that sliver is amazing. Not to mention the cake was so heavy Layne had to help me hold it up so I could blow out the candles. And just for your information I got all 27 of them with one blow.

Mother's Day Drive

On Mothers Day after a AMAZING dinner of Crab Legs and Steak we went for a drive to Calder and Lind. It was very pretty and the water was running very high. I loved that I didn't have to worry about Ellie because she was scared to death of the edge and Layne was even more freaked out about her being any where near the edge that it was actually a really enjoyable time. I love going on new adventures and seeing our beautiful surroundings that we live in.

Generations of Mothers!!!

Wishing all the women in my life a happy mothers day.

First off their is my GRANNY!!! She has always and will always be my favorite Grandma in the whole world. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of her. She has always been there for me and loves me unconditionaly. I have spend many hours with my granny and wouldn't change a one of them for the world. I know that she is getting older but I just hope that she will always know how much I love and appreciate everything she does for me. I know that without her hard work and dilagence I wouldn't have half the strength that I do. I will never forget get the day when I was standing outside the temple with her the day I got married and she said to me. "Someday you will see me in that temple, it will be in the next life but I will be in there one day with you. I love you Krisandra and I know you will always be happy for choosing to be married there." I love you Granny I hope that you never forget that.

And then there is my mother. I hope that my mom knows that I love her and appreciate all the simple things that she does for me on a daily basis. I love that we are so close and that I can call her at any time of the day and she is always willing to listen and talk for hours even when she is at work. I know that her heart is always with me. Even though she lives so far away from me she is always with me. And I know that because I see myself in her. I see myself doing and saying some of the things that should would say. I love that she passed on to me the love of holidays. That there is no holiday better then the other except Christmas. And that my home should always smell of season. I am so greatful for the simple act of never forgetting to send a card NO MATTER what holiday it is. She always lets us know that she is thinking of us. I love it when Layne says to me I'm so disappointed in your mom I didn't get an Easter card or Valentines Card depending on the Holiday and I have to inform him that I had already seen it and forgot to show him. WE love you mom and are greatful for every minute we get to spend with you. Exspecially me. I LOVE having a baby knowing that I get my mom to myself for ONE WHOLE WEEK!!!!

My sister Amanda! I just have to tell you that at one point in my life I didn't think that she would ever have kids. She hated us when we were younger I couldn't ever imagine her being a mom. But was I ever wrong. My sister is one of the best little mommies. Watching her with my niece has proved to me that you can always change and change for the better. She is so happy now and would do anything in the world for her daughter. I'm so greatful for my relationship with her and I hope she knows how much I love her and look up to her. Thanks Sis for always being there. I LOVE YOU

I am very greatful for Layne's Mom, Teresa. She is so good with Ellie and is always willing to help when ever she can. I appreciate the sacrifices she makes on her part to help with Ellie. I don't think I tell her enough but Thank you for all that you do. We love you and don't know what we would do without you!

And then there is just being a mother myself. I can't imagine what my life was like before Ellie. I have never known a greater love then the love that I share with my daughter. I love it when she tells me she loves me and sometimes says "I need a hug". I hope she knows that I will always be there to give her a hug no matter what time of day or night it is. I love watching her with animals and knowing the deep care and concern she has for them. I love that her Dad is her best friend and she loves it when he comes home from work. I love being a mother it is the most rewarding thing on the planet. I may not have all the money in the world but I have the love of a husband and daughter and right now in my life that is all I NEED!!!!

READ ALL ABOUT!!!! DECLO SOFBALL GOING TO STATE!!!!

I don't think you know how excited I am for these girls right now. What an accomplishment to go to state, let alone being the first team EVER from Declo Highschool to go. I am so proud to help coach this team and take them all the way there. I have been amazed at the things that these girls have done all season long. Watching girl after girl hit the ball over the fence. Girls that have worked their butt off everyday during practice and at night on their own. All that work payed off and here we go to the state play off games. OH I LOVE SOFTBALL!!!!
Last night we had an amazing two games. Winning the first one 14-4 and then the second one 21-3 with the Glenns Ferry Coach calling it because it was getting ridiculous. But they didn't call it with out letting one of our last seniors to hit it over the fence. Scoring three runs. Catherine has wanted it all season and what a way to end it with hitting it over the FENCE!!!! Brinlee Breshears also hit it over the fence tonight for her first time. Sarah Silcock is just amazing and at least once a game hits it over the fence no matter where we play or who we play against. I didn't really think that she could do it and bet her a hundred bucks that she wouldn't be able to. Well, lets just say I'm glad I didn't say a hundred bucks for ever time she hit it over or she would of made over a thousand bucks!!!! Jessica Fuentes, Dallis Pickup, Melissa Carson are the other ones that have hit it over the fence this year. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!
Another reason why I'm so excited to go to state because it's up in my neck of the woods and I get to go see my family and they get to see us do our thing. GOOD LUCK AT STATE!!! love ya.

Ellie Funnies

"Conversation with Granny June"

Granny get's out of the car and says "I need to use the rest room."

Ellie says "You need to go potty?"

Granny "Yes"

Ellie says "Okay I'll take you."

(Granny could not even tell me the story because she was laughing to hard. I thought it was so cute she wanted to help.)

"Sacrament Meeting 08/09/08"

Ellie "Mom where is your bag"

Dad "Do you want a snack?"

Ellie "Yeah" Cough Cough Cough
Dad preceeds to get her a treat but she started gaging a little bit. Chokes spits up a little bit, and Layne catches it in his hand.
Ellie (look of disgust) "Dad go throw it in the gabage that is DISGUSING"
So Layne gets up and washes his hands.
(I about peed my pants laughing)

"This Morning 08/18/09"

I was in the kitchen making hot chocolate. Which I LOVE. Ellie decides she wants some to. But I was watching my TV show and told her to wait a minute. She was not going for that so she grabbed my arm and says "Pease Mom your the best". I love it when she says that, how can you tell her to hold on then?!

"On our way home from Twin. 8/22/09"

Ellie was whinny in the back seat and Layne started to mimic her and she got really mad and said. "Dad quit being a whiner."

"Tonight sitting on my lap in the Kitchen 9-08-09"

Ellie: I wanna get married

Mom: dieing of laughter "what did you say"

Ellie: I wanna get married

Dad: Not till your thirty!

Ellie: Ok

10/05/09

All of us playing make believe after dinner?!

Ellie: Mom you be Ellie, I'll be Dad and Dad be mommy because you have a Belly like mommy... (I laughed so hard)

So she wanted some dinner and said while deepening her voice "Darlin bring me some dinner"

We were laughing way to hard to keep playing... She was on one that night

12/02/09

After bringing Jayci home from the hospital.

Ellie: Mom why is Jayci eating your boob?(said so disgustedly)

Mom: because that is how she gets her food.

Ellie: Can she eat my boob?

01/24/2010

Getting ready for church.

I curled Ellies hair this morning and put a cute flower in it. She was wearing a new dress with her boots. I told her she looked rockin. She says "yeah i'm rockin" I tried to get her to put her coat on but she said "no mom I want to show dad how fashionable I am" Seriously what three year old talks like that.
02/08/10
Setting the scene: Ellie walks out of my room with just a t shirt on. I ask her. Where are your pants. She says: Mom their wet! well why or they wet. With her hand on her hip and shaking her finger at me she says "Because moder I had an Asserdent"
