The couples that are "Meant to Be" are the ones who go through everything that's designed to tear them apart and come out even STRONGER.

City of Rocks
Yesterday we were heading up to get our Christmas tree up past the city of rocks so I was taking advantage of the scenery and practicing with my new camera. I LOVE IT. The camera was suppose to be for Christmas but I went and got it on Black Friday and have been playing with it ever since. I love this years Christmas I have already got and used my Christmas presents.
Happy Thanksgiving!
We had such an awesome thanksgiving this year. We went over to Uncle Mark and Aunt Verla's with just a quiet little group of Darringtons. It ended up being just mostly adults so we definitely took advantage of playing games and having lots and lots of food to eat. All the Darrington men went over to Tim and Jana's and shot trap while all of us girls stayed at Verla's and played games. It was quite the relaxing Day.
But mostly I am so grateful for the Thanksgiving holiday because it is a time of reflecting on all the things that you are grateful for. I am mostly grateful for my Heavenly Father who died for me so that I can be forgiven of every little sin that I have. I know that he loves me unconditionally and is always there when I need him. I know that he hears and answers prayers even the simplest ones. I am grateful for the priesthood and all the many things that priesthood holders can do for you in your life. I am so grateful for my family. The way that we all get along and can stand being with one another every chance that we get. Especially my mom she is truly an amazing woman and I hope she knows how much that I look up to her. I am grateful for Layne's family and the way that they are always there and willing to help with Ellie mostly every time that I need them. And the way that they love us and want us to be included in everything that they do. I am so grateful for my husband and the way that he loves me and all my little quirks. I am grateful to know that I have him for time and all eternity. We are so blessed to know that we get to have our best friends by our side FOREVER! I appreciate the way that he makes me laugh all the time. And the amazing dad that he is to Ellie. I love you Darlin and hope that you never forget that. I'm also grateful for Ellie and the way she keeps me on my toes everyday of my life. I love how she is so gracious and polite. I don't know where she got it? I'm grateful to be a mom and have all of those "mommy moments." My favorite is when she gives you a hug and says LOVE EW MOMMY. I hope that everyone had a fantastic thanksgiving and are looking forward to the Christmas season!

Erica's 15th Birthday
Her birthday was actually the 19th but we celebrated it on the 22nd because everyone had such a busy week. So sunday she got to blow out her candles and open her gifts. Really I just wanted to wish her a happy birthdy and wanted her to realize that there is just one more year till she can date and her life will completelly change. You are growing up to be such a beautiful girl and I'm so proud of you and the decsions that you have already made in your life. Love you!
A True Darrington
Ellie has discovered the heaters in our house. One day they were on and she was walking by and realized that they blow out warm air. So now every time she gets out of the tub she drops the towel and waits there stark naked till the heater turns on and sits there and plays till she gets warm enough and moves on. I say that she is a true Darrington because if you were ever to go over to Layne's family in the morning you would find everyone of those Darrington kids in their underwear with their butt up against a heater somewhere. Their quite the crew.
Overnight'er

After the game we decided to stay the night so we could visit with my sister for awhile. Which ended up being really fun cause we got to sit in the hottub, sleep in, and go shopping the next day. Amanda ended up staying the night with us because everyone was going to be gone the whole next day so we thought it would be fun for her to stay with us. It was a big help to have her around with Ellie cause Ellie loves her Aunt Da and minds her. So to us it helped a bunch exspeically since I left the stroller at home. OOPS! While we were figuring out sleeping arrangments Ellie would only sleep with me so we ended up on the hide a bed and Layne and Amanda slept on the nice comfy bed. And I'm still a little bitter about it cause I didn't sleep worth a darn. Over all it was great fun and we were glad to have Amanda with us. Love ya Sis.

2A Idaho State Football Championship Game
11/21/08
What an exciting day for the town of Declo Idaho. I was so glad that we had the opportunity to go up and be a part of the big game. It was amazing. I was really hoping that the game was just not a comeplete blow out and it wasn't. Those boys fought their way to a tied game at the end of the fourth quarter so we had to go into overtime. Which unfortunately we lost by one point. But I couldn't of been more excited for those boys. What a way to end the 2008 football season. This has never happened for Declo before so everyone in the community were there supporting those boys. I just loved seeing all the excitement and the parents out of control cheering for their boys! Of course we also got to go up and watch Erica perform at half time. It was really good and unfortunately they were so far away that I didn't get that great of pictures but she sure looked cute. And we also had Ellie bundled up like nobody's buisness. It was really cold and she didn't have snow boots so just before the game we went and got her some and threw on her snow pants, coat, hat, gloves, and boots. She looked like a pink marshmellow. And of course Ellie and her Papa are sharing popcorn their all time favorite. And yet again Mr. Kaylen Martinez up in the corner #88. Your awesome!

Chore Cloths
11/04/08
(This post is way out of order but just found the pictures on my camera so I thought I would just post it now and later put it where it's suppose to be.)
This year with butchering turkeys I didn't have time to snap pictures because yet again I was gutting them and my hands were nasty. But the scouts came over to help and really just did a lot of standing around. I don't think that many of them have ever done anything like that before so I hope it didn't scar them for life. But we were glad to have the little help that we did. Chip was really good at cleaning up the turkeys and then bagging them. And Braden Erickson, Kyle Darrington and Greg Harper were great help in the barn with me cutting the necks off the turkeys. Those were the only ones I saw in action the rest were outside helping Layne but I know there were quite a few helping outside.
Anyways the real reason I am posting this is because I was showing off Ellie's new birthday present. She is wearing her new chore cloths her boots, coveralls, and coat. I always get a little bitter when Ellie goes out to help Grandpa do chores in her nice tennis shoes so they figured it was time to get her, her own chore cloths. She just looked so cute. So thank you Nana and Papa for the chore cloths. They are very nice.

Surgery
November 10, 2008
After Jacob and Jess left on Sunday morning we went to church just in time to catch the primary program. It was pretty cute. It was Amanda's last one so we wanted to get there and support her. She is going to be going into young women's in December and that is just hard for me to believe! So Sunday was a great day but a very long one due to having surgery on Monday the only thing I would have was clear liquids. I HATE THAT DIET! Anyways, Monday I went into the hospital and 6:30 and had surgery (got my gal bladder out) at 8 and didn't get home till six in the evening. I was so tired from being put to sleep that I couldn't even open my eyes all day. I'm glad that I have it done and over with and hopefully I'll start to see some great progress with my Crohns Disease. I was so cooped up in the house that by Wednesday I had to get out and get moving. I hadn't taken any pain killers that day so I felt like I recovered well and fast. Thank goodness for the priesthood and the blessings we are able to receive. Not to mention being married to someone that is worthy to hold that priesthood. I AM SO BLESSED!

Jacob and Jess Visiting!
November 7-9, 2008
My brother figured he needed to come down and visit us since everyone else came and he didn't get to. So we had a great weekend of looking at rings (for Jess), talking to Uncle Micheal about getting her a ring. And then we went out for a nice lunch came home and then went bowling. It was so much fun. I am just getting to love Jess more and more. She truly brings out the best in my brother and for that I will be forever greatful. Don't get me wrong my brother is one of my best friends in the whole world but he had a lot of growing up to do and since Jess has come around it has truly happend and I'm so excited for the both of them. We love Uncle "jacabob and jess." I'm so greatfu that I am close with my family even though they are quite a bit a ways from us. We Love spending time with them and are greatful that they like to come down and visit quite a bit and we get to go up there.

The last day that my mom and sisters were here. We went over to see Granny and decided to get a four generations picture taken since we have never done that. Happy Birthday To YOU!
I cannot believe that two years have already come and gone. I remember the day that Ellie was born and the happiness she brought in to our lives. But with all the ups and downs in the last two years she has stayed true to the shining star in our lives.

Best Friends!

I just love these pictures because it just shows how sweet and helpful Ellie really is. I can't wait for her to be a big sister and share all her love with him/her. I'm glad that Ellie has a cousin that will someday catch up to her and they will be able to play many many hourse together. I know it's so important to have cousins because I watch Layne with all of his and I"m so greatful that they are all so close. Because in the eternal perspective "FAMILY IS EVERYTHING"!!!

Ellie Funnies
"Conversation with Granny June"
Granny get's out of the car and says "I need to use the rest room."
Ellie says "You need to go potty?"
Granny "Yes"
Ellie says "Okay I'll take you."
(Granny could not even tell me the story because she was laughing to hard. I thought it was so cute she wanted to help.)
"Sacrament Meeting 08/09/08"
Ellie "Mom where is your bag"
Dad "Do you want a snack?"
"This Morning 08/18/09"
I was in the kitchen making hot chocolate. Which I LOVE. Ellie decides she wants some to. But I was watching my TV show and told her to wait a minute. She was not going for that so she grabbed my arm and says "Pease Mom your the best". I love it when she says that, how can you tell her to hold on then?!
"On our way home from Twin. 8/22/09"
Ellie was whinny in the back seat and Layne started to mimic her and she got really mad and said. "Dad quit being a whiner."
"Tonight sitting on my lap in the Kitchen 9-08-09"
Ellie: I wanna get married
Mom: dieing of laughter "what did you say"
Ellie: I wanna get married
Dad: Not till your thirty!
Ellie: Ok
10/05/09
All of us playing make believe after dinner?!
Ellie: Mom you be Ellie, I'll be Dad and Dad be mommy because you have a Belly like mommy... (I laughed so hard)
So she wanted some dinner and said while deepening her voice "Darlin bring me some dinner"
We were laughing way to hard to keep playing... She was on one that night

After bringing Jayci home from the hospital.
Ellie: Mom why is Jayci eating your boob?(said so disgustedly)
Mom: because that is how she gets her food.
Ellie: Can she eat my boob?

Getting ready for church.
I curled Ellies hair this morning and put a cute flower in it. She was wearing a new dress with her boots. I told her she looked rockin. She says "yeah i'm rockin" I tried to get her to put her coat on but she said "no mom I want to show dad how fashionable I am" Seriously what three year old talks like that.

Setting the scene: Ellie walks out of my room with just a t shirt on. I ask her. Where are your pants. She says: Mom their wet! well why or they wet. With her hand on her hip and shaking her finger at me she says "Because moder I had an Asserdent"

Ellie "Mom where is your bag"
Dad "Do you want a snack?"
Ellie "Yeah" Cough Cough Cough
Dad preceeds to get her a treat but she started gaging a little bit. Chokes spits up a little bit, and Layne catches it in his hand.
Ellie (look of disgust) "Dad go throw it in the gabage that is DISGUSING"
So Layne gets up and washes his hands.
(I about peed my pants laughing)
