Laney and Ryker

Layne's cousin Jill had her first baby, Ryker 2 days before we had Laney.
They were 2 lbs different when they were born and a month later there is a 4 lb difference.
Laney is a shrimp compared to the little guy. It was so fun to get them together.

I'm pretty sure cousin Becca was pretty excited to hold Laney too.
We are so lucky to have such an amazing family.

Awake 24/7

9/15-18/2012
A few things you need to know about little Laney is she is happy 90% of the time.
And wide awake more than she sleeps.
I'm pretty sure I don't know if I have ever met a baby that is this young and this alert.
Not to mention this cute!

(She is related to her father and likes to be left alone laying on the floor.)

Mini Cheer Camp

9/14/2012
Ellie's dream is to be a cheerleader just like her Uncle (Jacob hahaha) and Aunties.
So we do everything we can to make her better.
And it makes her extremely HAPPY!
And I hate to admit it. But she is pretty dang good!

Introducing "Indy" whom which Ellie calls "Cherry"

A few months ago Val called and asked me if I thought Ellie would like a horse. I laughed and said are you kidding she'd be in heaven. Let's just say Ellie is beyond spoiled and has been in heaven ever since we have introduced her to Nana and Papa's new horse whom which she has renamed "Cherry."

Ellie loves to drive by and just see cherry out in the pasture. I do not like big animals and never have. But Cherry is so sweet and we all really like her.

Ellie is in LOVE!!
Thanks Nana and Papa for making her wish come true!

I think Grandpa is in heaven!

One time we went over to their house Ellie informed Nana that it's a granddaughter grandpa day and she is going to go out with him. It was so sweet and the first time that she made it known she just wanted to be with her Grandpa.

I sure love my sweet cow girl!

My "little" Bull Rider

Ellie's favorite 8 seconds of the fair.
After buying her hat she was all about her bull ride!!!

Ellie and Uncle Braddy

Ellie and Uncle Braddy and her new cowgirl hat.
Thanks Uncle Braddy she loves it!

Rabbit Show

Annual Day at the Rabbit show.
Amanda did fantastic and as always so cute.
And I enjoyed eating food for 3 hours straight being 9 months pregnant!

Laney Marcine

I have to say I am one lucky girl to have such an amazingly talented friend. Every time I get pregnant I start pumping her up for a photo session. This time was not any different. Except, she is building a house and really doesn't have time to do anything extra. But my persistence paid off and we were able to get together when Laney was 2 weeks and 2 days old. Laney was pretty good 50% of the time we were there. But for not wanting to participate Kenna did amazing. Thank you my dear Kenna for your time and effort. I love these shots of Laney, Ellie, and one of myself. (P.S. there are more to come but I could not wait to share them.)

Pictures Say a Thousand Words
(check out her photography blog here www.kennaharrisphotography.blogspot.com She is amazing!)

(I love these two little beauties... I put this picture on facebook and said that I was missing my angel and a friend of mine replied with.."She's there, you just can't see her." I love that! It truly is how I feel when I look at these two always snuggling together.)

 .

My Daddy is my Favorite Guy....

I don't remember what I was doing at this moment (Probably sleeping but who knows.) but I caught Layne red handed snuggling with his girls. I know it's been a VERY hard adjustent for him. He feels like he should be chasing a two year old while I have the baby. And he isn't. He is missing out on a lot of things and truly just missing our little girl. It's not easy. There has definately been some good and bad days when it comes down to missing her and figuring out this new life that we live. Not only do we miss her but we are learning to have a baby again. It's a new process every single time. It never fails that we forget how to hold and burp and bathe a new baby.  But finally after 2 weeks we are slowly but surely figureing out our new adventure. And Daddy is proving to be yet again the babies favorite snuggle buddy.

This picture just melts my heart...

Labor Day

Since Laney was only two weeks old we didn't think that camping would be a good idea. So lucky for us Val and Teresa offered to take up Ellie and get her out of the house for the weekend. She said that Ellie was super nice and had lots of kids to play with. So I'm glad so got to go. We went up Sunday afternoon for dinner and then came home. The kids were nice and filthy and super cute.  While we were there cousin Sam got his shaker out to break up all his mucus and the kids wanted to try it as well. Well, this is Ellie trying it. Those kids laughed and laughed. Pretty funny!
There has been talk of a few moose up in the mountains. Sometimes it's hard to believe those rumors but this is the second time we have seen them and I got a picture to prove it. I love going out to the woods and smelling the fresh air. It reminds me of home and seeing the animals is just a HUGE bonus.

Great-Grandma Nielsen (a.k.a.Grandma with the Dollies) and Laney

(This is the first time that she got to see Laney.)

I needed to run to twin and since Ellie was up camping for Labor day with her Nana, Layne decided to come home early and take me on a date to twin. I was getting extremely house happy and Layne knew I needed out. While we were there we decided that G&G needed to meet Laney.
Now, I know I have talked about Grandma Nielsen before but I just have to brag on her again.    While we were there visiting I asked grandma if she could minipulate the dress she made for a doll, out of my left over wedding material to fit Laney so I could use it as a her Blessing dress.
She of course was excited and up for the challenge. So she got to thinking about it later and found more material that she could just make Laney her very own dress and not manipulate my other one. I am so lucky to have Grandma. She is so good to us and my kids. They love her to death.
I love it when we go to twin and it never fails everytime Ellie will say, "Mom, can we please go to Grandma with the Dollies." Sometimes we can and sometimes we can't but I'm just glad Ellie knows and loves both of her Great-Grandma's.
(P.S. My Grandma is known as Grandma with the puppies. I love that she associates her Grandma's with what she loves.)

This is the dress she was going to manipulate. It's beautiful and I love that it's made out of my wedding dress material. And if you didn't catch that. Grandma made my wedding dress and let's just say it was stunning and perfect, just for me.  I can't wait to see what she comes up with for Laney's Blessing Dress.

Best Helper Award...

Ellie has been the biggest help to her Mom. I have been struggling in the healing department and have relied alot on little miss Ellie. While she is off to school in the morning I have been sleeping because I have had the worst migraine. (Still do going on three weeks as of yesterday.) When she gets home she helps me with the baby by getting diapers and wipes and holding her when she is fussy.  I have even got to the point where I even trust her carrying her around and rocking her while she is upset. I don't know what I would of done with out her to help me.

What I love most is that she has complained once about always having to help me. She has fully embraced being a big sister again and doing all she can to help.

Kankles? Maybe?

8/31/2012
My feet swelled a little bit while I was pregnant but man o man after I got home from the hospital my feel swelled up like balloons. I could not bend my ankles or toes. When I walked I could feel them giggle. It was kinda gross but I am so glad to have my feet back, it only took 2 weeks.

While I was taking pictures of my ankles I notice this little lady posing thinking I'm taking pictures of her. So of course I snap a few or her poses. She cracks me up with all that "Attitude."

Ellie Funnies

"Conversation with Granny June"

Granny get's out of the car and says "I need to use the rest room."

Ellie says "You need to go potty?"

Granny "Yes"

Ellie says "Okay I'll take you."

(Granny could not even tell me the story because she was laughing to hard. I thought it was so cute she wanted to help.)

"Sacrament Meeting 08/09/08"

Ellie "Mom where is your bag"

Dad "Do you want a snack?"

Ellie "Yeah" Cough Cough Cough
Dad preceeds to get her a treat but she started gaging a little bit. Chokes spits up a little bit, and Layne catches it in his hand.
Ellie (look of disgust) "Dad go throw it in the gabage that is DISGUSING"
So Layne gets up and washes his hands.
(I about peed my pants laughing)

"This Morning 08/18/09"

I was in the kitchen making hot chocolate. Which I LOVE. Ellie decides she wants some to. But I was watching my TV show and told her to wait a minute. She was not going for that so she grabbed my arm and says "Pease Mom your the best". I love it when she says that, how can you tell her to hold on then?!

"On our way home from Twin. 8/22/09"

Ellie was whinny in the back seat and Layne started to mimic her and she got really mad and said. "Dad quit being a whiner."

"Tonight sitting on my lap in the Kitchen 9-08-09"

Ellie: I wanna get married

Mom: dieing of laughter "what did you say"

Ellie: I wanna get married

Dad: Not till your thirty!

Ellie: Ok

10/05/09

All of us playing make believe after dinner?!

Ellie: Mom you be Ellie, I'll be Dad and Dad be mommy because you have a Belly like mommy... (I laughed so hard)

So she wanted some dinner and said while deepening her voice "Darlin bring me some dinner"

We were laughing way to hard to keep playing... She was on one that night

12/02/09

After bringing Jayci home from the hospital.

Ellie: Mom why is Jayci eating your boob?(said so disgustedly)

Mom: because that is how she gets her food.

Ellie: Can she eat my boob?

01/24/2010

Getting ready for church.

I curled Ellies hair this morning and put a cute flower in it. She was wearing a new dress with her boots. I told her she looked rockin. She says "yeah i'm rockin" I tried to get her to put her coat on but she said "no mom I want to show dad how fashionable I am" Seriously what three year old talks like that.
02/08/10
Setting the scene: Ellie walks out of my room with just a t shirt on. I ask her. Where are your pants. She says: Mom their wet! well why or they wet. With her hand on her hip and shaking her finger at me she says "Because moder I had an Asserdent"
