Trunk-or-Treating

Random pictures through the afternoon and evening. We also got to spend the evening with Aunt Jess and that is always a pleasure.

Containing the Beast

Yesterday morning I was getting the dishes done in the kitchen and I hear Ellie yelling "Mom Jayci is eating my hot chocolate" So I run down there and sure enough she is eating the left over chocolate left on the bottom of the mug. So here she is in her confinement chair. It's the only place that I know she can't get out of and I don't have to worry about her destroying or eating something she shouldn't be. And in all honestly she knows if she is in this chair it means foods whether it's dinner or snacks so she is pretty happy when I put her in it.

Do they look alike?

I was just curious if I had any pictures of Ellie in about the same pose as Jayci and wanted to see if they looked alike. So I pulled them up and this is what I got. I seriously don't know how anyone doesn't see that they look alike. Besides the lack of dimple I find them pretty cute and compairable!

Birthday/Treat Day at Preschool

Tuesday was Ellie's turn to take treats to preschool. Since her birthday is next week and I don't want to have to make treats again I just had Kara substitute this for her Birthday Day at preschool. Where they sing pretend Happy Birthday and Kara gave her a Birthday Dora book, which she loved. She was prettty proud of these blasted cookies... It's a good thing I love her and she loved "her day" at preschool.

Primary Program....Sassy Pants

Last Sunday was Ellie's first primary program. I went and bought her a new dress and thought she looked so grown up and OH SO SASSY! And apparently she fit the part well. As she got up to do her part she got right up there flipped her hair said her part (which she had memorized. "Jesus Christ is the son of God.") flipped her head back around, walked to her seat like she was the cream of the crop, flipped her head back around with as much sass as she could master. She also sang a verse of Follow The Prophet with Alyssa Anthon. They did so good and sounded so cute. I was pretty proud of my big little girl. She sure is growing up fast. Apparently I try to blame her Sass on other people but I was told the other day that it's not all from other people. Perhaps she may be a little out spoken like her mother! BAHHHAAAA.... Except I don't snap and point when I'm bossing her. I have no idea where she picked that up! These array of picture sum up our 5 minute photo shoot. She is a BAG of mixed emotions, maybe even a little bi-polar sometimes!

Riding in the Tractor with Daddy

We really haven't had many opportunities to go and ride in the tractor with Layne this year. With two kids this year and both of them being on their own schedules we just haven't found the time so this evening Ellie was begging to go see her Dad. We called him and he was happy to have us. We probably rode with him for over an hour. It was good quality time with Dad and Jayci kept grabbing at her Dad and saying DA DA DA he was so excited because she really hasn't been that talkative so she definitely knew who DaDa was. Tomorrow will probably be the last day of potato harvest so we were grateful for the opportunity today!

T.R.O.U.B.L.E

I know Mom's with multiple children laugh when Mom's complain about how busy their "ONE" little one is. I am sure I am guilty of it. In fact I know I did it. I know I am guilty of complaining about things Ellie used to do. Kenna would always make fun of me. But Here I am again, not going to complain, but just state, WHAT HAVE I GOT MYSELF INTO!!!!

Let's just start with JAYCI IS A BEAST!!!

These are just a few things in the last three days that have made me reconsider EVER complaining about my first very sweet and non active child.

Let's start with Monday bath time. I had put the girls in the tub about 7 because we are faithfully putting the girls to bed every night between 8 and 8:30. Sometimes if Jayci hasn't napped well I can get away with 7:30 with her. Well, I always let Ellie stay in the tub longer cause I can trust her and she loves to play in her "HOTTUB" so I got Jayci out, lotioned her up, and put her pj's on. I set her in the living room and went to get Ellie a towel. So of course I get side tracked for about 2 minutes MAX. Pretty soon I hear Ellie screaming "MOM, Jayci is in the tub with me..." What are you kidding me? The baby can't even walk but can crawl over the edge of the tub and get in, Are you SERIOUS? I knew she loved bath time but do you have to get in TWICE?!

Later that night. Layne and I were watching TV in the living room while the girls were playing in my room. I looked at Layne and said it is far to quite with both of them in there. We laughed and forgot about it. Well a few later along comes Jayci. So I really didnt' think of it. While we were getting ready for bed Layne says to me, "Krissy you can't get mad at me for leaving my cloths on the floor." I looked over and sure enough the BEAST emptied out his drawers. Had some how managed to push the stole up to the dresser and empty the drawer. AWESOME!

So let's move on to today about 30 minutes ago. We had just walked in the house from being gone. I put Jayci in the walker in the living room and went to vaccum the upstairs dining room. So while she was still captured I made a quick get away to the bathroom and pretty soon I here pitter patter across the floor. She crawled OUT OF THE TOP OF THE WALKER and crawled to me in the bathroom. WHY or HOW can a not quite 11 month old be so active and not be able to walk???

Don't get me wrong. Love that little soul. But she is not even ONE YET?!

Ellie, I'm so sorry for ever complaing about things you did. You don't even hold a candle to your baby sister.

Pumpkin Patch Adventure

Last Saturday I took the girls over to the Pumpkin Patch by Minico High School. I wanted Layne to be able to go with us but he is still in Harvest and wasn't able to make it. I really wanted to get the pumpkins and didn't want to wait much longer so we could get them carved. The girls had so much fun picking out pumpkins and eaiting dirt! Jayci is in the wheel barrel because I couldn't keep her out of the the dirt. I know she looks so sweet and innocent but trust me this child is nothing but a BEAST! We sure had a good time and want to thank Nana for meeting us over at the pumpkin patch and helping me with the girls. I LOVE THE FALL but not when it's 78 degrees in the middle of October. YUCK! Ready for it to be FREEZING!
