Temple/Wedding Dress

Today in Relief Society they asked us if we could fit into our wedding dress or at least had our wedding dress and were willing to let the Young Women display it for Temple Night. And I thought I have my wedding dress and "MAYBE" that is a big "Maybe" I could fit into it. So, while we were at Teresa's today she had pulled out her Dress to let Erica try it on and I thought MAYBE I could try mine on. So on the way home as I was contemplating if I could fit into it or not and Layne says that he didn't think I could. Quote "well your weight has rotated"...hmmmm..... So, of course, then I was really curious to see if I could, which I didn't have very high hopes of doing but here it is .... PROOF...... I can still fit into my wedding dress after almost four years of being married and one child. I felt pretty darn good about it. If you would of asked me a month ago before losing ten pounds there is not a chance in you know what that I would of been able to. But I did......

We are eXpEcTiNg........And it's a "BOY"

It has been a crazy week with Val and Teresa being gone and having to look out for their things along with ours. Now, how many of you actually thought that I was expecting.... LOL... I am but it's not what you think. Last week Layne's cousin Alicia called and asked us if we wanted a puppy. Well, we've been talking about getting one but it just hasn't worked out, exspecially now with half our fence gone. So we told her not this time. Well she precedes to tell Layne about the puppy and said that it was a St. Bernard. Well as some of you may know, Layne got a St Bernard puppy when he was twelve and it past away a week before our wedding. So he LOVES saint bernards. The puppy was supposedly 3-7 months old and still pretty little. So of course we were sold. We had to patch the fence and get some things bought for the "PUPPY". Well come to find out the couple was getting divorced and the husband had bought the puppy for her and didn't end up wanting him afterall. So we ended up with him. He is almost a full grown St Bernard weighing in at about 100 lbs and gorgeous. Kelly stopped in Blackfoot and picked him up for us. We were thinking "puppy" so he was just going to let him ride in the front with him. Well, when he saw him it was already to late and cold to ride in the back so Kelly "Mr Clean" had this ginormous Dog ridding with him in the front seat. He called me on the way and said well we finally got him loaded and I'm thinking what was so hard about loading a "PUPPY". Then he proceeds to tell me that he weighs about 100-115 pounds and by now I am so confused. Well, I hang up the phone and say to Layne and Erica he says he weighs about 100-115 lbs. I think he's exaggerating just a little bit... While we were waiting for him to get here with the "PUPPY" Layne tells me that it's my dog blah blah blah... So when Kelly pulls into the drive way and flips on the light all I can see is this HUGE dog. Layne goes running out there like a kid on Christmas and immediately starts loving on this HUGE DOG... Let's just say it's not my dog anymore. His name is "TANK" and he literally knocks you over when he is loving on you. He is very mellow and just wants LOVED all the time. So needless to say we have us a HUGE dog (puppy) and we are very excited about him.

Valentine's Day

Yesterday Layne thought that I wouldn't be home so he brought my Valentine's stuff in and surprised me with a comfy chair to sit it while watching the "sports" at the higschool... I LOVE IT.... along with a long stem rose and a card. I love valentine's day because i know it's the one day of the year and that everyone goes above and beyond showing your signifigant other how you feel about them. I know that Layne loves me everyday because he tells me and does whatever he can to make me happy. But Valentine's Day has I LOVE YOU written all over it. I'm so greatful for my husband and the sacrifices that he makes for me. I just want him to know how much I love and appreciate him and I hope he knows I will love him through all time.....

Last Weekend

Last weekend Kelly brought his friend Brandon down from college and wanted to show him the ropes. So every time someone new comes around the boys shoot trap. It was freezing so I just wanted to run down and get a few pictures, so I did and then we went home. It was a beautiful day just a tad bit nipply!

Layne's PRIDE AND JOY!

About two years ago, Layne and Brad went Bear Hunting with my brother and Layne shot this bear. I don't know about any of you but this bear is not something that I would want to meet in person. But Layne and Brad did. they didn't have the option but shoot this bear because she was ready to charge them with standing on her two back feet. Her one year old cubs had wandered into an area where Layne and Brad were hunting and she spotted them. My brother had told them if she stands up on her back feet it's either her or them so Layne opted to shoot her and here she is safely made into a rug on our living room floor. We were actually going to hang her above our bed but she was to big so we hung her on the back wall of our room... Layne is so proud of this thing he just stares at it all the time. LOL... This is actually the afternoon of getting it and he got to see it for the first time. As you can tell Ellie was really skeptical about it but now she tells everyone about the BIG BEAR and it says RAR and she shows everyone how it sticks out it's tongue. It is now a new member of our family proudly hung on the wall.... And Just so everyone knows... the cubs were old enough to be without their mother... It just so happens that they are family and just stick around eachother. So the cubs were okay!

Girls Basketball Senior Night

For some reason this year I have really been into watching the basketball games, both boys and girls. I think that they are doing so awesome and wish them all the best of luck at Districts. And of course Ellie is there with her pompoms cheering them all on as well....
